1) Stop this game from being JPA spam nonstop. 2) Make a way for the heavy weapons to ready without needing to zoom or start firing, just holding it up and in position and ready to go. Zooming in on this endless melee spam is detrimental and useless half the time. 3) Don't have matches start with 5v9. If there aren't enough people for a full match/75% of one, then don't start the fucking match, it's a waste of everyone's time. 4) Re-evaluate the LP costs for things, because currently they're shit. Even then, the armor/health upgrades are barely noticeable for their high prices. 5) Give everyone clutches of nades or no one, that's a huge advantage over a single one.
1) the melee system is broken between d-bashes that don't stop rmb spam, durability falling on the successful counters (instead of just with clangs of same attacks), inability to use evade with any substantial, positive result and animations speed not allowing for the use of all types of counters against faster weapons. 2) spawn points either being inside the objective zone itself or too far off the combat zone break the flow of the game between time consuming walks into chokepoints and respawning right where the fight is happening; there has to be a more balanced way for the sake of immersion, fun and ability to actually win tug of wars and similarly defended positions. 3) the vast majority of the space in maps is completely unused with fights happening in a very repetitive pattern inside objectives; there have to be incentives for fighting there either with secondary/attidional objectives or map variations in the rotation that shift the position of points to capture between several possibilities. 4) the map design is greatly favoring short-ranged engagements with no substantial role available for other, at times very iconic, weapons; this being detrimental to variability and the "tactical" and "shooter" parts of "massively multiplayer online tactical shooter" (actually the "massively" too). 5) what's even the point of veterans? either the loadout points or the number of lives aren't enough to matter. 6) the higher the tier of a piece of equipment, the more useless the loadout points make it; quality/cost of items needs to be more linear. 7) when something is OP like the plasma cannon instead of adding a very stupid looking mechanic like making its projectiles travel time relative to the distance of the target, touch the basic stats like charge up time and/or the blast radius and/or the damage and/or the velocity. 8) there're still invisible walls, unresponsive vaultings and things the characters get stuck in the ground. 9) needle-medics have difficulty in using their needles with the majority of impatient patients, to the point they fall into obscurity confronted with area or focused healing; it either needs to be faster and/or be able to connect and complete at a bit of a longer distance. 10) map design is too repetitive.
I have stopped playing because I don't feel like *I* am getting any better. There is no consistency with anything and I don't feel like I am mastering weapons or classes. Every fight is the same fight despite the fact that there are probably 24ish different loadouts (practically speaking). I only play games that make me feel like I am getting better as a player. 1. Melee combat is bland. It is exactly a RPS system in the truest sense: it is almost entirely random. Every three or four games I get into a solid duel with a talented player and it is like an intense dogfight (generally only to die from some dipshit with a plasma canon). Every other melee encounter is either me murdering people who don't look behind them or getting ganked by four or five players. Also, lunges should be removed for fast attacks. It is frankly silly that character move faster while endlessly swinging a weapon than running. Please stop this. 2. Ranged combat is unrewarding. Either it is mindlessly easy (in the case of some heavy weapons) or entirely inferior to playing melee. The limited ammunition supply and bad netcode make shooting the most inconsistent component of the game. Aiming goes from mildly frustrating to basically impossible thanks to the huge melee attack ranges and poorly optimized ranged weaponry. 3. I have played eldar the most so I can really only speak to them but loadouts are a joke. There are basically one or two "good" loadouts per class and the rest are laughably bad. The "higher tier" equipment entirely outstrips the stock loadouts to the point that it severely handicaps new players. 4. Vehicle combat is boring and provides no bonuses in game to the player. If you are a transport driver than there is no incentive for you to keep driving which is exacerbated by the incredibly short ttk of every vehicle (even after the melta nerf). Please add experience to players who spawn in vehicles to the "owner" of the vehicle. Also, add special bonuses to defending friendly vehicles. 5. Stunning is a stupid mechanic that I have hated in every multiplayer game that I have ever played. It almost works in games like Overwatch because tanks actually have the health to survive the stun but it is garbage in this game. I would rather just be dead than be forced to stand around doing nothing. Every second I'm not playing is another chance for me to see more flaws in the game. 6. The game modes make no sense, and in a narrative driven system we should be accomplishing tasks that benefit our factions. Also why do I just "pop" into existence? Characters need drop pods or spawn rooms or something, it is immersion breaking to the nth degree to just appear in the middle of a room. 7. PVE requires a long wait, please let me play with other factions *or* que up as "no" faction. I don't want to wait 20 minutes to play a subpar game mode. I like 40k, but not enough to sacrifice time I could be having fun with. I want to test it and help make it better but not if I need to wait forever to play it. 8. Fortress maps blow. They have always been terrible and they are likely to be terrible for years. The netcode just isn't there and even if it was the lack of voice coms or a chat wheel would make it miserable for experienced players and nightmarish for newbs. 9. Levels are full of ridiculous garbage that litters the ground. Nothing makes me feel less like an immortal warrior than not being able to get up some fucking stairs. Fix your shit before you release levels. Let us jump over angled rails and make it harder for me to clang against walls. 10. Prices for cosmetics are bananas. I still have all of my RTC's and I am unlikely to spend them at any point because there is nothing worth the crazy prices right now.
1. Garrison should include tutorial, showing how squad tactics and objectives work. 2. we need better in game communications, this is about squad level tactics but we cant communicate. typing takes too long and is liable to cost you a match or at least lives. this could be as simple as squad level voice comms with the option of squad leaders to talk or at least see what objectives the other squads have set. 3. ranged either need a better defence up close or more maps that favour their abilities 4. free to waaaagh should be implemented, even if you just give access to preset loadouts it should get more players in the game at the very least as at the moment wait times are up and players are down. 5. PVP lairs would be cool, could link in with the campaign style....something like this, you have a lair, three levels deep the defending player has one special character that is trying to complete something (spell, pact, weapon, ritual, whatever) like the fortress defence it is limited lives, but not so many, defenders and attackers each have 2 lives each....anyway just a thought 6. Latency issues need to be fixed, so hard to shoot anything in the distance and frustrating to be killed by seemingly nothing when reality you were shot seconds ago by a hail of bullets. 7. one shot kills anything should either not exist or exist in equal measure for all factions 8. More maps and/or game modes, one map per month minimum would be good 9. Make forming a tank crew with 3-5 people a reality, they can drop into games specifically to play the tanks, not counting to the total players in game, would make armour more effective on the battlefield. one dedicated crew per side per game should spice things up a bit (rhino's obviousely are still done by squads and still option for squads to pick up a tank) 10. have some maps or missions class restricted to allow only foot soldiers i.e medics and ranged. no melee or heavies or even maps for better tank warfare 11. make all loadouts available to choose when going into battle, different battels call for different tools thats all i can think of at the moment Thanks guys
I've already written my quick list but i've just popped by the thread again to say it mightn't be a bad idea to check the reviews on the steam page, they would help a lot with addressing the community's issues
Stop joking t in the twitch. Sometimes is fun but last twitch You ruined all the explanation about campaigns, ok, they dont have nothing to show but 2 cartoon cards, but your show made it worse. Its like you are doing this to make us quit. It wasnt fun, its was waste of time. It would be nice if the person who answer the questions woulnt be playing games while answering. 1 map per month. Content Free to waaagh. Population. Real price for skins. We are not multimillonaire to spend the 10 dollars in a helmet.. FFS
I could not agree more. The campaign system and narrative plot are the most missed features by me. And when finally there was supposed to be a twitch about it I learned that you devs are so disorganized that you can't even find a screen shot of a thing that should be in game for a month already. And when the screen shot finally is sent to you you show me a popup window with generic text... wow I mean wow... People would get fired in my business for such incompetence...
1.) Melee is fun but way too clunky and slow. It's not fluid at all. Dbash should be a parry if a true block is not going to be used. The animation for Dbash is still awkward. Stun needs to go away. In my humble opinion it doesn't have a place in the combat. Melee really needs a rework. It should be fast paced and smooth, with movements that flow into each other. 2.) Chaos Marks and Sigils need to lose the negative side effects completely. 3.) The LP cost of war gear needs to be adjusted. A lot of it is way too expensive for the underwhelming stat increases. For example: 600LP for a sigil to gain 40 armor is rediculous when you can not take a god mark at all and spend 100LP for 24 armor. 150LP for the standard god marks is too much considering they come with negative effects, which I will say again, need to be removed. 4.) Veteran Classes should not be limited in use, especially right now when the only difference between vet and non vet is 400 LP. If you have spent the time and effort to unlock veteran classes, then you should be able to use them in your 5 custom load outs for battle as much as you want. You should have an advantage if you've worked for it. Otherwise, why have progression if it has no real lasting benefit. 5.) Predators are great as long as you have a full crew, but the main cannon needs to have it's damage increased. A tank should be very effective against other armor, but right now they take far too long to down a vehicle without a full crew, and are far to squishy. 6.) Loot boxes should only contain loot equal to or greater than the cost of the box. If you by a 30,000 point box, you should not be getting an item that can be found in the other lesser boxes. This would go for lesser boxes as well. Also, I think there should be variations on the boxes for specific classes. The boxes could still be random, but only give items specific to the class you like to main. 7.) Cosmetics need a lot of work. There is far too little choice, the pieces are far too expensive, not detailed enough, not colored right, and don't really match well. 8.) Weapon detail needs a lot of work too. Most of the weapons found in the boxes really aren't all that great from a cosmetic perspective. They are just kind of blah. If you get a master crafted or named weapon, it should look epic and stand out from the rest. 9.) Please take a look at grenades. Either the time to detonation needs to be increased slightly, the cost increased, or maybe even the damage reduced. Enemies dropping grenades at their own feet right as they lose a melee fight is really cheap. 10.) In general, strategic objectives other than capping points need to be added. There should be secondary objectives to do that could contribute to the win or loss of a game, rather than just having the massive clusters of nonsense that happen now when trying to take a point. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate the opportunity to give this feedback. I hope it comes across as constructive. I have had a lot of fun playing this game and really would like to see it grow and succeed. Hoplite
1. Upgraded armor overwrites cosmetics. Make the same skull for example show up on all three sets of armor (relic artificer etc). 2. More sub factions is more awesome. Get the Flesh Tearers out sooner rather than later. You can add the cosmetics for them later, now that GW gave you the goahead you should be adding as many chapters as you can as quickly as you can even if they share a common battlecry. Generic MK7 aquila with diffrent textures will do. 3.Fleshing out of the existing chapters. The specific weargear and cosmetics should be given a priority as well. Backpacks and arms for the space marines/chaos or chapter specific weapons (cosmetics) for example. 4. There arnt enough maps. Punching out new maps should be a high priority, especially an ork or eldar themed map. 5. Melee. Dbash should be more reliable in general and connect solidly, you cant have rock paper sissors if rock only works half the time. 6. Shooting. I think this is more of a netcode issue but at the very least making the weapons less unwieldy with their animations may improve melee vs ranged balance. 7. Tanking and healing in general for all factions. I think its a huge problem with the core balance of the factions. Blanacing the damage of diffrent weapons is insignificant if that damage is mitigated in diffrent ways by diffrent factions. 8.Plasma and other OHK weapons (mark of khorn as well). Similar to the healing, it throws off the balance between attack and defense far too much when tickets are an issue. 9. Free to waaagh! and other early goals for the game. These should not be abandoned completly, maybe in the future they will become appropriate. 10.Sound and audio isnt complete. The game needs more music, the games OST is not yet on par with other 40k works. Space marine had an awesome soundtrack so did the ultramarines movie that came out in 2010 and im sure eternal crusade can join their ranks with an extended library of songs, you are already half way there.
