Again you speak to me about a bunch of nothing. I'm cringing right now cause you're not even aware that you yourself didn't provide any empirical data. "Pretty much shows you have no grasp of how ranged combat works in this game. Any race (Not just eldar) trying to hip fire is going to be hitting a whole load of nothing. Eldar are slow as anyone when aiming. Heck, Hip firing on DA is worse than doing it on SM/Orks because they have no ammo mods. It's just an effective way of losing your entire clip doing nothing." - this is an observation, remark, opinion or whatever you would like to call it. You talk about numbers and knowledge yet you seem not to know about, or simply ignore, correlations and statistical interactions of variables. Something that most scientific disciplines take into account and take time to research in order to analyze phenomena (hence I said "practice" as in "testing, experimentation". The reason I'm not laying out any "facts" is because the effects of which I'm talking about (interaction of speed, accuracy, recoil and hitbox) cannot be described with single independent variables. But you seem SO proud to be able to read me a number (and apparently you couldn't do even that) and call it a fact, along with that other belligerent hick. Simplistic and ignorant, that's why I said different opinions matter - I'll value mine and I won't try to change yours while dismissing them completely.
And that's a TL mind you! The regular ASC with acc-on-the-move grip and heavy barrel is even more terrifying (accuracy-wise).
That's nice, but it isn't relevant to what was being talked about here. You where free to shoot at your targets here, not on a dedicated ranged shootout. There wasn't anything over a Bolt pistol aiming your way. My coming into this entire mess was you calling out the other poster after he/she presented hard numbers. You dismissed them entirely and proceeded to attack the poster instead. Because I don't have to? Burden of proof isn't on me, you're the one that dismissed the hard numbers originally. My remark was simply applying logic to your opinion. You're of the opinion that somehow the Speed makes up for lower DPS. I pointed out that in a Shootout trying to hip fire is generally going to place you at a disavantage. But you want my opinion? Shoota's are the top tier of tact classes, followed by actual Tacts and DA's last. I just spend 2 hours playing with my rank 3 Ork. The only mod I have for the Shoota is a Banana Clip. And I was absolutely demolishing everyone with it. I could win every shootout except for a Vengeance tact. I can only imagine it gets better with a HB and the Grip. Not to mention that I could carry my Meltabomb equivalent to provide AV, something a DA can't do. And they clang at Sword level. Yeah. But that is like, my opinion. Saeri is running those mods. Also, the ASC runs into ammo problems more easily when doing this (Bolter and shoota don't). And all these weapons have about the same accuracy after the other relevant mods have been applied, btw. Maybe when ASC gets an ammo pack, then it might actually pull ahead.
My bad, I didn't realise that when you said "Any race (Not just eldar) trying to hip fire is going to be hitting a whole load of nothing." you were in fact not talking about the accuracy of the hip fire, as the video clearly shows people being hit, and killed, by hip fire. Here's some "dedicated ranged shootout"s using hipfire.
