For the record, my computer is no slouch. 6-core AMD CPU 3.0ghz, GTX 780ti GPU, 16 gigs ram. This game runs like ass. Horrible framerate overall, even after trying several fixes I looked-up online. Worse, though, is an average 1-secondCOMPLETE LOCK-UP practically any time I try to engage an enemy or get anywhere close to any kind of conflict. Even outside of the performance problems, there's dozens of aggravating and game-impacting bugs that turn my play experience to shit. I'm constantly getting stuck on bits of terrain and tiny ledges that my character should easily be able to step up onto. My jetpack marine rarely-if-ever does what I actually want him to when I hit space bar - trying to vault over a small ledge with him without wasting fuel on a full jump is basically impossible. Characters jitter and teleport around constantly due to lag, making Eldar's hitboxes go from hard-to-hit to absolutely im-fucking-possible. I punched my keyboard out of frustration today. A bad habit I had overall broken 2 years ago and thought I had left behind me, but this burning heap of shitty code pushed me over the edge. This game is not fun - It's aggravating. Fix your shit, Behavior, Bamco, or whoever it was that made the call to release this game in such a shit state. As it is, you're dooming all your hard work to failure.
It's quite likely that it was the publisher, Bandai Namco, who forced the developers to release early.
I pretty sure the call came from Namco and telling them to stop making wrong decisions is like telling Nurgle to stop farting.
Hyperbole my ass. I pointed out several legitimate issues just off the top of my head all taken from a single play-session. This game's current state is complete shit.
Performance and balance wise I 100% wholeheartedly agree with. Gameplay wise I disagree with you as the game is actually fun at it's core it's just the performance and balance issues paired with the steep learning curve for new players kinda makes it infuriating. Once we see a major balance and performance patch hopefully some people who are unhappy will feel a bit better. There's no ETA on when that will be though.
And I thought that if I have good performance at release everybody else could say it have improved. Reading forums and reviews I see that didn`t happen. Game is fun but with so much content not in it BHVR ruined my beliefs in alpha games. First and last I perticipated in. Next time I will support only the ones that are completed. I suggest the same for everyone. Don`t feed incompetence. In a longer timeline it could be really damaging to games developing.
You're right, and that almost makes it an even sadder fact. There's potential here, but it's tainted by bugginess and imbalance worse than Horus was tainted by Chaos.
