After all, he did lead the Cholercaust Blood Crusade, considering he was far closer to Terra then Abaddon ever was. He managed to bypass Cadia using the Keeler Comet, and nearly made it to Terra, unforuntely if the legion of the damned did not intervene he would have been successful.
Ahriman is weak! He refuses to believe that he is merely Tzeentch's puppet, as as result he will never ascend, never gain true power. As for my vote? The tides of chaos are ever changing, Kharn, Huron and all the others you speak of are nothing but pawns to our masters and will too fade into dust but within an instant, with a more suitable champion to take their place.
