TAU TAU TAU TAU, TAU TAU TAU TAU!!!! Oh and 'Nids would be cool too.......and Necrons........and Dark Eldar........probably Inquisition too.....Hell, I just want to play them ALL!!!
I would not add grey knights as their own faction. They should be part of Inquisition. And in that they would be limited class choice. Because of their powerful psyker skills and gear.
hmm.. -Imperial Guard I would love to see, but like some other comments had said It might be a bit hard to balance them with the other race, since 1 guardmen wouldn't stand much of a chance against other race 1v1, maybe let them have a skill to summon/Teleport a few guardsman? so you can control a little squad/platoon? (Tank isn't a bad idea but 1 tank per player would be overkill lol) OR just keep them as NPC for now so we can bash em >:] -Necrons again would love to see them as they're one of my fav race, but aren't most of them suppose to be mindless undead? (well.. maybe not mindless but you kinda get what I mean) So how can we player, play them freely without making it look odd that a Necrons can just casually wander around doing... things? But still would love to see this race in it. -Tau I can already imagine people going around in PVP killing each other and shouting "For the Greater Good!!!" haha -Dark Eldar umm sure why not? -Sister of battle would be a really good idea for female players? since space marine, Orks and CSM are all males? (I think? could be wrong) also other reason to have Imperial guard lol.
Well, we could simply say that the Imperial Guard is using a mechanized strategy for this conflict. A relatively small number of crack troops (Veterans and Stormtroopers) supported by a large number of vehicles. It's both a legitimate IG strategy and a viable army list. Human Wave isn't the only move in the IG playbook, it's just the most well known.
Would like to see Tau, for the simple fact that I would be able to kill their Xeno filth. Would also like to see Dark Eldar specializing in their lightening quick raids taking prisoners, would actually prefer them as the tyranid faction role in game.
I don't really see how (possible) player actions would be a determining factor in the viability of a race. A SM player could simply wander around aimlessly as well, that doesn't mean that SM would be unsuitable for the game. If a lore reason had to be given (I wouldn't think that every little situation would need to be verified according to the lore) then simply say that this Tomb World had very little casualties, and therefore even the lowly Necron Warriors possess a sizable (for Necron Warriors) intellect. I believe that the Necrons can be a suitable playable faction in the game, their reanimation protocols alone make for a (potentially) unique experience. I have this mental picture of Necron players who have received non-critical damage, but enough to reduce their health to near-zero could be blasted in half and crawl around on their arms. Necrons could be defined (in game) as have the most resilience; not in terms of resisting damage, but in their sheer refusal to stay down. I think it would be cool if the Necron players could regenerate life over time (moreso than the other factions) and that the only sure fire way to 'kill' a Necron player would be critical hits (i.e. headshots, grenade kills, etc) or preforming a CQC takedown on a 'downed player'. This could be offset by the fact that the Necrons would be the slowest faction in the game in terms of movement and firing speed, and the fact that Necrons would have fewer 'lives' or respawns than the other factions when a respawn limit is introduced for certain PvP scenarios. This might be a little too much, I get it, but I would very much like the different factions in the game to have tangible differences in playstyles, instead of simply playing as the exact same unit, except with a Ork, Chaos, Eldar, or Space Marine re-skin.
Exactly. There are even entire Regiments completely Armored in Carapace without being Stormtroopers. If Guardsmen/Veteran would only mean i have to play it safer than the others.. thats how it should be. The IG can be Human wave and Spec Ops like. Very few Guys whine over Max-Unit being OP just because they can't kill them 1 on 1(which is even possible but very hard. Explosives or massive Fire needed.). 1 on 1 Battles are also not that common if it's really somewhat like Planetside.
I personally would LOVE to see Dark Elder in the game. It would be interesting to see an entire faction in open topped vehicles and have incredibly fast and devastating attack patterns. Something other than, herp-derp power armor/shiny invuln.
