Where is the bottleneck?

  1. 17k people are logging in each month. if they buy one cosmetic for 3 dollars thats $51k surely that buys more time to make this game into what it was sold as.

  2. aye I cannot fault the models in spacemarine.

I know the quote was about shrines but its a slight insight into the complexities of building items/colourways

  3. If we were getting these types of cosmetics, and items like the Mark III helm looking like a proper Mark III helm, I'd spend 50$ or more a month easily.

**Note: I said cosmetics for weapons. We need to do away with "sidegrades". That's a poor system IMO. Our "Relic" and "Limited Edition" "sidegrade" weapons are inferior in every way to weapons that can be fully modded. I haven't touched my Judex Malorum Relic Sword and all of my other Relic items in months due to the fact that they're horribly overpriced, have worse stats than a fully modded weapon, and they cannot be modded.

  4. Then again, I'm a whale. I'd spend $50.00 for a Limited Edition full armor set and character skin that looks like this.

A lot of people actually like sigmar in real life, the internet just likes to cry. GW's sales have been through the roof with AoS, and at many clubs all over the midwest at least (chicago, lansing, grand rapids, parts of ohio) that I've been to, sigmar is played MORE than 40k if you can believe it.

If you've never tried sigmar, the rules are 10x simpler and more clear yet still allow for a sufficient level of tactical depth. In addition, the rules for every unit are 100% free. 40k is still my go to game, but it's a bloated, unbalanced abortion that needs a rewrite asap.
  6. I do not think that we will ever get the answer to the OP's question, yet I think that it would be greatly refreshing to know what exactly is so fc^&*ed up in bE way of doing things that the game is bottlenecked in "new content department"

as a lawyer I can tell, that it would be really really hard to screw up a contract so bad that it would require of one party to send finished products for acceptance in terms of IP to the licensing company. This is practice practically non existent in the industry since it would generate serious costs without any certainty of any returns whatsoever. Basically someone would have to be retarded to sign under such thing.

So i guess its rather bad distribution of objectives withing the development team that is more focused on stuff that is not visible rather than producing more shiny content.

  7. One would think GW might say "Free reign as far as duplicating any existing 40k miniatures or miniature components off of GW's webstore".

Duplicating items directly off of the box sets and individual named characters from the miniatures seems like a sure thing and an easy home run. Though the duplication needs to look like the actual items they're supposed to be. Again I'll harken back to the Mark III helm and the apparent disconnect between what you see from Forge World as far as Mark III helmets, official GW artwork to what we see in game currently.
