*Sigh* I was there for that game, and I know what they were saying. Makes me sad, honestly, I thought the people in my guild were better, but repeat offences, and intentional ones at that, cannot be tolerated.
I am in OBST and most of us will move it if we see one of our guild doing something ridiculous like that, but, even I have to ask in this instance how the hell?!
I believe they were saying stuff like, "Let's see if we can glitch it into this point." And after it happened, they immediately said "Alright, now get it out before it gets on the forums." Or something along those lines, not sure what it was exactly, but yeah, something like that.
Ok, well, that doesn't entirely shock me and it was kinda misleading to post it up as if they intended to leave it there and make use of it on the spawn then. I recall when me and half the clan where riding in a serpent, hit another serpent head-on and had a bit of a pushing and shoving match going on, before suddenly we where launched ballistic across the entire map, all of us on teamspeak going WHAAAA?! as this thing sailed tumbling through the air to land out of the map area. The game has a stupid amount of glitches as it really shouldn't be out of beta yet.
There is a whole version of the game, freely available, in which you can test out glitches. The main game is not the place to do it and I hope bE throw the book at the ones responsible.
Except I doubt the serpent stayed there so tell me, what would the point be of throwing the book at them if they didn't then abuse the glitch they discovered? The only way I could see it being an issue is if they left it there and kept spawning from it.
Let me see now: As opposed to: The difference is intent. This game is live. Intentionally glitching is cheating, whether or not you intend to use that glitch for your, or your team's, gain.
Right, so deserving of a firm warning, I will not question that but not 'throw the book at them'. I have seen a fair few Myst guys pulling shenanigans myself not to mention players not even in a guild who'll just jump in someone serpent and put it in a stupid position for the lulz it seems.
