In my mind this game is Space Marine 2 and I really enjoyed the game. Except this "expansion" isn't just any old dlc which gives me 2 maps and a new skin gives me 2 new races, a world map to fight over, more in depth combat system, new classes , more weapons, better customization, vehicles and a built in PVP mode. And all for cheaper than Space Marine was for me at launch :3

  3. I am a fan of 40k and really liked "THQ Space Marine", but the multiplayer experience suffered from the lack of dedicated servers and was very often lagging as hell.

I would already be interested if someone would just build "Space Marine 1.5", with more customization and dedicated servers. But having hundreds of players in a single battle + two more races + vehicles + story by Mr. McNeil's son Graham?! Color me excited!!!

Wish you favors from all known Gods!

  4. Wanting a decent mmo 40k game with all the factions playable.

That doesn't look like it's happening now though.

Whose bright idea was it to decide that IG wouldn't fit in despite being an army that is ten times larger than some factions and deciding they are too squishy yet you have eldar and orks?.

What kind of backward logic is this?.

    1. It let's me play a Slaaneshi, back in Warhammer Online it was 'Tzeentch or get out'.

    2. I like leading players, i'm a social person, I want to lead the armies of damnation to rend apart the forces of man.

    3. I like massive pvp, I prefer the forces of man to be controlled by players...then executing a strategy or beating them in combat feels more satisfying then vanquishing an A.I.

On games in general not just EC? devs being open with the playerbase or at least releasing periodic and constant information about the game, if I'm just gonna talk with other players and I'm gonna hear about the game through gaming websites I will use those gaming website forums instead of the official forums.

My enjoyment of the franchise and setting. I'm a fanatic about it, I buy lots of the novels and just lose my sanity in them. The fact that there's a real darn shame that for such a huge IP, there's so few games based on it. Tactical simulation of Titan's brawling. Doesn't exist, would be amazing to see. A Mass-Effect style rpg set in a Hive city, doesn't exist. A styleized card-game set in the crew decks/cargo hold of a ship. On and on.

The really attractive thing about Eternal Crusade is just the grand idea behind it all. Something that is really true to the IP, massive pvp, free for all brawl out that is both melee and shooty. Carnage, in short. Lots and lots of destruction. To see the architecture of the setting being recreated in a 3D environment is exciting.

It's like what the Space Marine franchise could have been, perhaps, but more multiplayer focused. The biggest contributor though? The openness of the team, to see them be passionate about the setting through their words, their dialect that is taken directly from the setting. You see studios toss around the phrase "we're gamers, making a game, for gamers" a lot, but for once it really feels like that phrase is apt enough.

These are my people. They know the setting, they can do it justice.

  10. The IP is very important. It has to be something I have waited a long time for, and desperatly want it to be good.

For EC it was a combination of the IP, the concept of the game (massive persistent PvP) which I both wanted for a long time. (I never really knew about Planetside2 before). That will definitly make me Preorder the game. If I want to become involved even more, it has to have interactive devs!
