I knew the Eldar were somehow behind this, what with all their complicating! On topic: -Devastators: Im liking the end this put on our debate of giving them melee (or i hope this cleared if for people), they should be a range DPS powerhouse class. They will have more than enough playstyle variety with all the available weapons. -Termi movement: Im worried about this a bit, melee termi variants without an escape mechanic will suffer to allot of kiting. Sure it will bring about more strategic placement of termi assets but the moment their fast moving support (read normal classes) gets wiped they are gonna have a hard time surviving imo. It all depends on how long this windup time for sprinting is really, which again raises the question of how wise it is to give the same sprint speeds to termies like the regular classes.
It's the downside of a highly specialized army, each class fills a very specific role... I guess we are not getting more info about it for now right?? Show more love for Eldar and Orks players!!
Love what Brent posted. News about assault and devastator classes are especially lovely. Savij block- points idea sounds interesting. Though... I am not sure I understood it right: I am confused. If power mace is good at breaking blocks and bad at blocking... Shouldn't it take less effort to break a block of the mace?.. If a swing with the power mace is as fast as a swing in Space Marine. It is kinda a lot of time to block the first swing, then dodge away, is it not? By the way. Player who tries to block a mace with a knife. Will he get insta flattened? The other blocking idea that sounded quite interesting is from dwarfhunter93: I think it is a little bit more skill oriented approach. You'll have to learn when to block, and for how long you can do it. And then of cource there should be some kind of a cooldown on a block, so people can't just spam it.
even though im gonna go sm i also think that the damned xenos should get more love, they are the ones who are gonna be really special
I still hope we get the option of having optics layout for a view like we saw in the space marine movie.
