You can also play Chaos! But you must be able to run the game via hot seat, which nobody so far achieved (I searched the whole fucking net and tried myslef). There's a chance it can be done if it's run on two computers by LAN when both of them are win 7, I'm going to try it once again with my friend soon after we get bored with Exterminatus, which is great btw.
btw did you manage to do that Djemo? I only know it's possible because I have seen original screen shots from the chaos 'inventory' interface and units.
However you can play Final Liberation this way: orks vs Imperium - great tactical fun, it crashes pretty often tho.
I did when i was a kid by taking my comp to my neighbor and getting them joined for a LAN session. Though if memory serves that was on Win 98.
Yeah, when you run it on win 7 you must switch to win 98 compatibility mode anyway. So, how wasit? I always wondered how chaos got compensated for the lack of assault marines, cos berserkers don't seem to match them tactically speaking. And how about the daemons?
Maybe it will be better to take this conversation to http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/chaos-gate.6375/.
We were kids back then so we werent all too strategic about it, i generally just had a few Horrors around, a Sorcerer and spent the rest on fielding a Lord of Change, which was just downright OP. You could also test every unit in the Campaign editor that came with the game which i found cool. Yeah, would be for the best. We kinda raided this innocent thread.
