~~ Briefing ~~ "Oh yeah right, let me guess, you expect their ship is half empty and has no security guards at all. Not to forget... because we have the right equipment for boarding maneuvers like we wish and simply walk in there, blow everything up and get back out. Do you think they are that stupid? Even if we could just aim with our ship against their bridge and take them out, smarty pants." The Tau snapped sarcastically at the foolish creature.
-Entering briefing- Jalp had just gotten up, and made his way to the briefing room, he was still abit groggy, but that dident matter, he usually dident have much to say at these things, he simple wantet to get up close and hit them with the rippergun, or shoot them, he guessed both worked.
''Have ya not seen the size of our ship? Do ya think it's empty, boyo? No? Then why would their be?'' the captain asked. OOC: *Shrug* so? You don't have to start at the bottom and go through the entire crew. Not all of the crew would even be armed, or trained. Some may (and often are) even be slaves/prisoners.
Briefing "Soz...why don't we just go ovah dere an krump dem propa? " Mulch shifted his weight from side to side with his choppa swung over his shoulder to rest. "Or just lotsa our big guns Dakka, das always a fun'un..." Mulch looked torn, krumpin up close was all good and proper but this ship had some big dakka...
Briefing "That may be the case... but you do realize this is mon-keigh you are talking about? I would be surprised if they have a single competent soul on board. Not like... Brightkin, where every civilian is a trained soldier, the Orkish, where every soldier is a soldier, or perhaps the Hrud, who are, well... the Hrud."
"Still they can grab a knife and throw it at you and may still hit you and kill you." The Tau said unimpressed, crossing her arms. "You think you are so superior, then go and march in there alone, smoothy face." She looked at the Captain, almost regretting to be here with all the brutes who have no taste whatsoever in tactical finesse. "Just let's shoot them apart from range and end of story, boarding is just unnecessary risk. Go figure if they even have interceptors or close-range batteries to kill us before we even can land."
"If we take out the shields there guns and the bridge would you be happy tau." davian asked oddly calmy.
"So basically destroy it enough to sneak in and steal their cargo before giving it the final hit? Well if we can manage that, then sure, why not. But I ain't ready myself for a suicide mission right into their defenses just in poor attempt to fight the entire ship crew." Shi said, slightly shrugging. The calmness of the Astartes apparently affecting her.
Torek eyed the Tau and felt his surprise at the idea of a nonconformist Fire Caste. Of course that faded when he heard the preference for a void war, the approach of the Tau to keep the enemy at arm's length had never suited him. He croaked up in agreement to the Dark Eldar and Ork, "Numbers only matter if we allow ourselves to be bogged down. We board with torpedoes at different points of their ship and end them. Either the hunt for their captain is successful or the second team disables their engines and leave them dead in the void." The Kroot watches for the Tau's reaction, "I hold no loyalty to the Kroot or your people. I am my own Shaper and the greater the hunt, the greater our glory."
Resh smiled, slightly thrown off-center by the interrupted meditation. "You stay here, while I volunteer. I would be enchanted to board the ship with a strike team. See what we can catch and the like. Maybe you can help the gunners hit their mark? I do not presume to know your skill set, but I am starting to assume it has something to do with accurate guns, yes?"
