The Tau classes, among others, aren't fully done as I said earlier. So I don't have a final class list.

So, atm, the Chaos list of classes looks like this:

Tier 1. Cultist (has three upgrade ranks, third being champion)
Tier 2. Marine, Havoc, Raptor (available to buy for rank three cultists, each has three ranks the final rank being aspiring champion)
Tier 3. Berzerker, Rubric, Plague, Noise (requires rank three tier two character. Has three ranks each, too, again the third being champion)
Tier 4. Chosen, Terminators (three ranks, last being champion. Requires rank three tier three character.) - I know I said no terminators...I might have change my mind >_>
Tier 5. Sorceror, Warpsmith, Dark Apostle, Lord (five ranks each. Requires rank three tier four character)

Each upgrade to rank is bought via exp. Once at the top rank of a tier, you're given the option to buy the first rank of a character in the tier above. You can only buy one class per tier, so you can't go from a havoc to a raptor, for instance.

Currently it costs slightly more to from T1 to T5 than it does for other races, but in a like for like comparison the marines are usually more versatile, and sometimes outright better than the other race's counterparts. Same will be applied for regular SM when I add them. So other races will have slightly weaker characters (or some will be weaker, at least) but will be cheaper to upgrade.

    So yea..how's that sound?

I can help with Eldar if you need :D .

Sure. They're Eldar corsairs, so not craftworld base. So far I have:

Corsairs, Ranger, Felarch, Voidstorm Squad, Blade Sworn, Void Dreamer, Corsair Prince

But that's without looking in to it that deeply yet. Lol.

Ahh Corsairs :( . I dont know as much about them.
  7. Akragth Akragth Well-Known Member

I'm happy to add other units in, if it seems reasonable they might leave the craftworld :)

Oh, also harlequins are in. Forgot about them.

Thinking about the Dark Eldar classes, it'd actually make more sense to change out the Haemunculus for Wrack, since Wracks are apprentice Haemunculi and the title of 'Haemunculus' carries a significant amount of prestige, if I remember correctly.

Otherwise, it's looking real good already. Keep up the good work!

Ah ha! Ok so you're doing a tier tree system, not a system where there are the different starter classes which you upgrade from. In that case here would be my idea for orks:

Tier 1: normal slugga/shoota boy (starting as a gretchin would be a little underwhelming me thinks)

Tier 2: spanna boy (can repair stuff) kommando (ded sneaky) Loota? (Deffgun, might be OP) 'ard boy (armored with better wargear options)

Tier 3: Burna boy (combi power weapon, nuff said) kommando nob (bigger, better wargear options) 'ard nob (armored nob) Skarr boy (melee machine) Mek Boy (access to heavy weapons, can scratch build things on the battlefield)

Tier 4: Flash git ( da shootiest, can specialise gun towards certain tasks EG: blasta vs armor, more dakka vs hordes..)
Big mek (upgrade from mek boy) Skarr nob (Ordos xenos deems target should not be engaged in melee) kommando Boss (has some pretty cool shenanigans with cloaking and looted tech)

Tier 5: Warboss (can be made as shooter, tank, sneaky git or melee monster) Mek boss (upgrade from big mek, can do more krazy things than a big mek.)

Tiers seemed to work better, more room to advance and less restriction. Some of the races have a couple of tier one classes, too. Just not Chaos ^^
