Just curiously, how would you guys suggest to handle promotions involving something like an Ogryn or ratling? I mean, you can't very well change species because you did well in a mission, but I'd like to have gotten such classes involved for players to use somehow. Ideas?
I would say may it available from the get go? Hell orks are close enough to ogryns that it wouldn't be too much a stretch and Ratlings aren't terribly overpowered or anything. They're short, have good eye sight, make good Blood Ravens/scroungers and tend to be great cooks. Nothing tooo insane there
Well, that could work. Only issue is it kinda leaves that player in a dead end, in terms of advancement.
That's what ya got equipment for though for the most part aye? Little bit of creative could make for some awesome, and possibly hilarious, development. Battlesuit Ratling anyone? Ogryn transporter? x3
Tbh, I don't have enough information to particularly make Bullgryns work atm, they're too new and I lack the latest codex. Bone 'eads would work, though.
Well I always wanted to help now is my chance! The 'non-evolving' classes .... well it sucks but I must say: NPCs / Support chars only. At least my suggestion. If you do it like Necromunda and can have multiple chars, then why not do it like this: Start with 1 character and get the others during gameplay. So you can have your ogryn char and play him, but do not need to worry about advancing because you got your main char for that.
Oh okay, well from the info i have gathered, they are heavy armored elite ogryns, that even has grenade launchers and ogryn combat knifes. But im sure the astra militarum codex comes out soon, until then i think bone head can be enough. Edit but i wanna rp a big dum ouff
