To hell with the Tau, Damn anime goons, You already got your aliens, in the form of Orks and elder, How about some NORMAL Humans thrown into the fray? Imperial Guard FTW!!! But in all seriousness, a 40k game without the Imperial Guard just doesn't feel like 40k, You NEED Normal Humans into the mix in order for it to feel like a true war in the far future, the desperation, the horror, the glory, all of it, would be magnified a hundred times if the Guard would be put in.
The Tau would be the best option to use. They wouldn't have any ties or reason to ally with other factions (as they have already rejected the ways of the greater good) as the Imperial guard or the Sisters of battle would and they would fit rather well into the battle at large with long range firepower and their swift battle suits. It might even be possible to implement the Kroot or Vespid in some way. By the Ethereal's we can only hope that the forces of the Tau will enter this fray and show the other factions the power of the Greater Good. I look forward to seeing you all on the battlefield.
i vote necrons. i love the idea of playing as a immortal. plus it would be awesome to see a giant pyramid enter the battlefield and have a horde of necron warriors Teleport in and also have a bunch of flayed ones burst from the ground and start wrecking chaos across the field.
