Never again.. Never again will I suffer such horrors like the VGX 2013. Being a PC gamer I thought it would be interesting to see the (big reveals). Unfortunately the only thing revealed is how much I HATE livestreaming events. The main host Joel-Mchale is one of 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, He has to be. Its the only explanation of this much destruction of the social media of video games lol. If you thought that 2006 Stunt Kanye West was fucking awkward, Then You aint seen nothing yet.. prepare to see a man in his 40s regress to his grade school years. From strange sexual jokes, jokes about gamers (during a gaming livestream??) to jokes about poop. Its all here, all inappropriate, All the time. Just for you lol. Even PewdiePie would have been better suited. He at least plays games.. Then comes the content or lack there of..Games that you would only need 3-seconds to guess of winning, did of course win the awards. The Reveals for many of the games were literally modified teasers-trailers. take what you seen back in E3 coverage and add 2-3 new scenes to it. Not something I would call a (big reveal) but I let it slide because the only ppl this hurts is the devs. The less people know, the less they are interested in. Happened once in a different game show, think it was pax or something last year, but there was a german host who pretty much ridiculed gamers, and the uproar got him to apologize on tv. I am glad i did not see it the vgx, judging from youtubers i would not be able to contain my self to the dickery of Joel.
The warp gives one a warm and fuzzy feeling, this is no warp this is something beyond anything, this is Matt Ward heresy, blasphemy and it is not of the good kind at all.
this is generally why I tend to avoid live streams such as these, I only watch Live streams of devs themselves lately.
I've never heard of VGX before I saw this thread, now I regret hearing of it. There is a reason people stick to the real recognised expos and trade shows. After today I also hope I forget about VGX all together
