I have no problem with this at all. Having death co. they can literaly identify traitors from loyalist (kinda in a weird way). So all i need to do is keep my boys in black with me, so come da one way to find out.

Until they rewrite what happens the same Warp Storms that were giving Dorn grief during the Flight of the Eisenstein are still there and causing issues. (Remember, the only reason Dorn found the Eisenstein was that they blew up their warp drive which was a giant beacon?) Canon write now is that somehow the Lion and Russ meet up and are having trouble with the warp so they retake a whole bunch of planets controlled by the Traitor Mechanicum on their way to Terra and don't make it in time (on one of the planets they find a device to help navigate the warp storms). The Lion blames Russ. The Lion yells at him to draw his sword but Russ refuses and bares his chest. The Lion stabs him out of grief and at the last second realizes what he's doing and changes direction to barely miss his heart.

That may very well change but that's whats canon right now. Until they rewrite that part the real question is how Sang gets to earth and how Russ and The Lion get together without Robot Girlyman.

I really hope they add Death Company and do something like blur the screen so you can't tell who is who since they are just as likely to kill friend as they are foe.

NOAH: The units you mention I would consider all to be Elite units. To use an Elite or Hero in a round you need a consumable to spend that we are currently calling Badges. One badge for an Elite and two badges for a Hero. So if you were playing as Blood Angels you could choose, instead of spawning as a regular Assault Marine, to spawn as Death Company if you had a Badge to spend but you can’t just look like Death Company all the time. Not even if you pay me. Maybe if you pay Nathan but probably not. No, probably not.

Not that you guys should listen to a heretic but.....

I think SM should of either of been led by the Ultramarines or the Imperial Fists. Despite the Wardian Codexes for the former making them somewhat bland, either of those two factions are the most likely to have the good of all the factions in mind and come off as even handed leaders that perhaps the others wouldn't like, but would nonetheless find acceptable.

It's like Abaddon with us. Sure he's kind of generic, but none of the four gods have any reason to just pull out of Arkhona with him on the team.

Imperial Fists weren't even in the game until last Friday so that was out.

Also Ultramarines have become the new Emperor's Children in my eyes. Self-aggrandization at its peak. The lore behind Arkona (summed up go read the short stories) is that it is in Space Wolf territory but has been barren for years. Mephiston was tracking the Black Crusades and realized it was Abbadon's ship so he called for aid. The Ultramarines immediately responded saying if they took the planet then it was theirs. Blackmane showed up and was like "Oh hell no" (I'm assuming he added a z snap for effect).

TL;DR Space Wolves are more pissed at Ultramarines than anyone else right now so Imho they wouldn't work either.
  6. Don't think it will actualy matter that much who is leader of what faction in the end.

Then maybe the Imperial Fists should of been in earlier. >.>

Regardless, they aren't really pumping themselves up if it's true. The Ultramarines created the handbook for many Astartes chapters, they have the power to back themselves up. Plus, as much of a dick move as claiming a planet might be, these petty squabbles break out between the Space Marines all the time. It seems less severe then, say, being implicated in the murder of other battle brothers.

It makes sense that Dark Angels could lead. Ultramarines and Blood Angels don't have a beef with them and the DA/SW rivalry is as much about brotherhood as it is competition. Space Wolves know that Dark Angels wouldn't short them in something like this because it would be dishonorable.
  9. So your saying the ultramarines are like emperors children due to one, very unknown short story?

But i do agree to an extent. Both the Ultras and EC have beautiful faces.

I did say "Space Wolves are more mad at the Ultramarines than anyone else right now" Thats why they dont make sense for this campaign.

I used the short story as an example since it deals directly with the game we're talking about. That is hardly the first time Robot Girlyman and his band of smurfs have put themselves above the rest... *cough* Imperium Secundus *cough*
