  1. No, I do not have animation software on my computer.:(

I am more of a writer with the imagination to boot. ;) However, I will take time out from writing to work on animated executions. I play(ed) (when I had my XBox) Gears of War and the executions were mostly awesome. Except for some of the weapons which got repetitive or down right lame. I envisioned better ones; the fact that you guys would reach out to us is AWESOME! So, YES! I would love to take the time to animate some execution moves for you guys. :)

I'd probably use Blender or Max, though I might try a free animation tool (not buying one for a contest).

    What I would need:
    Fully rigged model
A list of the animations you're looking for (I assume their vanity animations for sale in the store)

    What I would like:
A selection of fully rigged and textured models (so I can choose which one I would like to animate)

    - If yes, what software do you use?
    Maya

-If we asked you to create an animation, what assets would you need from us?
Rigged model and what type of movement

    - If no, and we were able to provide you with a free program, would you be interested in giving it a try?
    Yes totally

-What would you need from us?
    Same thing

    - Are you interested in designing and animating execution moves?
Yes, i have already animated few stuff, i have quitted my graphic study because i wanted to study programming but i remember how to rig and animate something!

Drawing a few keyframes would be much easier, animating something fully is much more work-intensive. Also drawing software is much easier to come by and picture files are much easier to share than animations

I have Autodesk Maya but I would need models... I can do my own joints/skeleton and can do animations plus I can render them but I need models to work with.

This is perfect. Specialised contests > generic contests. However, I would like to argue against the "contest" part. What I think would be most productive is if you left an "open invitation" to make execution moves, along with some models and misc. assets, and let the community to do as it will, the only "prize" being the inclusion of the execution in the final game if it's good, maybe with a few RTPs thrown in for good measure.
  7. If software tools were provided i would absolutely give it a shot.

I guess anyone can draw a series of pictures, describing executions on the most simple stick-man figures.
No need for any special tools. Just raw ideas.
  9. I have only read the first page of responses so I do not know what else has been said, but I do not have any animation ability (software or know how). If something was provided, and hopefully with a quick tutorial, i would love to give it a shot. My only question is this:

If free software was provided, would other programs be allowed to be used or entry? I would assume that those with the animation deluxe 5000 software would be able to make better stuff than the free provided stuff. I would hate to restrict those with real know how to use 'inferior' stuff, but...

    just a thought.
  10. While I do not currently have an animation software installed, were I provided with one I would love to make execution moves, in fact I happen to have some rudimentary experience at it :).
