First game, Chaos Gate - who didn't like playing space marines in this turn based game, with you being able to pick side missions to get better equipment or picking the main mission to carry on the story. This game is turn-based which was fun.

Second game, Rites of War - The game had you playing as Eldar, with every unit they had back then to play as. You had slots to fill with units that you picked and after every few battles a new slot and unit would be playable. Your mission was to secure your ancient artifacts like behind. Later in the game you learn Tyranids are on the way so you have to kill the Hive Tyrant. This turn is a turn-based game but with limited turns.

Third game, Final Liberation - This game had you reclaiming an Imperial world. The world was taken over by Orks. You play as the Imperial Guard with Space Marines as your ally. This is a game that is just like Dawn of War II with the map territory type.

I liked playing all three of these games and have spent many of hours playing these.

Well this is meant for Warhammer 40k not Warhammer. Now if they were to redo some Warhammer games then yes, I would love to have that game remastered plus Warhammer Shadow of the Horned Rat.
  7. yeah, SotHR was an amazing Game back in the day. It still is today but hard to bear for the eye. And DO was even better (albeit lots easier). Thats the Games i fall back to when there is nothing else i'd like to start in the winter.

i recently did play Chaos Gate again. it does work with win7 flawlessly(install, patch to 1.2 and run in Compatibility Mode XP with SP2).

I absolutely loved Chaos Gate in all ways. The Soundtrack was great as were the sounds, the art and the story wasn't bad either. I would really appriciate another try on turn-based combat in the WH40k franchise as "Squad Command" on the Nintendo DS did not really catch the atmosphere of Chaos Gate...

But maybe we will see anything going into that direction soon, 'cause both SEGA (if I recall right) and the developer of the Total War franchise both announced working on a WH title :) Maybe finally something new on these ones at GC this year?

Totally agree. Id love to see Rites and Liberation remade, I hate Space Elfs and I loved that game. The 'nids helped but Liberation I spent way too many hours on, mostly due to crashes but I still have fond memories. I was a total sucker for anything with SSI on the box cover back then but and well 40K included? SOLD!
