Interesting diversity of classes and basic wargear Basic vehicles Tyranid PVE Good communities of players for each faction if you can find them Cons- Game is unfinished. Optimization REALLY need to be done. 'Balance' is mostly a joke at the moment. Either you dominate or you get dominated, nothing in between. Exploits ruin fun for lots of people. Yeah, I am looking at YOU, Eldar vehicle lovers! Spam (plasma or melee) is just not fun either. Giving or receiving. Lag hurts BAD In-game voice needs to come back sooner rather than later All in all, I am pretty neutral at the moment. I play with my guild or I play PVE. Without voice chat, the regular games are impossible to coordinate for the most part. The lag gets me killed more than any enemy tactics do. But the visceral thrill of emptying most of a Storm Bolter clip into a melee opponent who is trying to charge me and watching as he gasps out his last at my feet and then screams when I execute him makes much of the frustration worthwhile. And when it is not? I slaughter Tyranids for a while and it is all good even when we fail. For now? That is enough for me. I didn't come in here expecting a Dawn of War MMO like so many seem to.
Without any doubt, that's why i put up this thread in the first place, being a somewhat early entry i see how this game is improving and i also see how some of the older veterans are biased towards the game and the dev team. More importantly relatively new players are spreading a lot of negativity around despite the clear potential of this game, so i just want to know if this is just a stop on the current hate train, maybe because much people can't form their own opinion about the game?
I honestly don't know why some of these people are so heated up... I guess some scars just don't heal and they feel violated or something. It's one thing to make complaints and its another thing to just go around spreading hate. Many of these people seem to be in groups (perhaps some sort of "hate club"). You should just play the game and form your own opinion really.

Nova Scotia. I think some of it is my provider, but not all of it is. My guild has similar issues on occasion. Thing is, even when lag is at its worst, it doesn't stop me from playing.
These are my thoughts entirely except I'm probably more on the "enjoy the game" side of the fence than neutral since I've had some good luck with servers, lag and optimisation. I also agree with you; the potential here is huuuuge and I think it has a very strong chance of reaching that potential so long as the devs can make it through this particularly rough period. The community as a whole is a toxic sea of hate, anger and resentment, fuelled by the guttural roars of neckbeard virgins who feel that they have been mistreated.
That's unfortunate. I know the lag used to be real bad and they had gotten more "out of town" server hosts to remedy the issue but maybe it still needs work. Now that we are talking about it I do recall some lag during one match but nothing too noteworthy.
Well, to be fair, the community was lied to by Miguel. But this whole 'OMG YOU ALL SUCK BECAUSE I AM ANGRY!' thing gets old. What are we? 5? Yeah, I think it may also my old computer, but I haven't had any issues with any other games even online. *shrug* I still play.
Hello. Community is strongly divided. This is showing that game have serious problem... My opinion is: Game have great potential. It is strong argument but it is just another promisse. I am hering it from 8 months with EC backened with "just give them time to work"... Hell, I was the one who repeated it before release. Will game ever reach to its potential? I don`t know. But from all time I spend here I will tell you it won`t be happen any soon. If ever. Every new patch is strugle. It fix one thing to break another. Seeing this pattern repeating all over again I am about to leave game to see if anything will chanbe in 3-4 moths. You will see many dedicated optimistic players here but I think that steam reviews are good example that we are in serious situation here.
