Plenty of good stuff have been listed here, but what do I want to see above all the Wraiths, Warp Spiders and weapons listed? Aircraft! Fighters. Gunships. Phoenix? The only thing what hooked me to Planetside was either playing a medic (which they ruined in Planetside 2) or flying stuff.
I'm hoping they're willing to go big enough with some of the maps to really get the Battlefield feel for it - where Jetbikes and Grav Tanks and stuff really matters I want to see a Falcon soar over a mountain ridge, cannons screaming shuriken hail into the enemy ranks, followed closely by a contingent of Hawks in a flying V, their rifles suppressing the enemies below. The Falcon lands behind an enemy structure - utterly avoiding their line of entrenched heavy weapons at the bottlenecked valley. Even before it lands, a squad of Avengers pour from the rear door - leaping 40 feet to the ground below and gracefully rolling - fluid and unphased by the fall - directly into a walking line advance, their weapons raised and singing death with the ten thousand staccato plucks of shurikens shredding the air. I want to see beam weapons - Fire Dragons with plasma lances cutting a swathe through enemy ranks - and Reapers reaping a harvest with that glowing black death of their cannons. I want to hear the Banshees wail, as it silences all other sounds of war - until the enemy can't focus, can't think, can't hear, can't act - until their only thought is to kill that damnable Banshee to cease her endless cry: until that frustration overcomes their senses, when they break from cover to find their foe - and promptly feel the small dot of pain on their forehead - little more than a mosquito bite - the last feeling before they fall cold: the scalpel-slug of a Rangers railgun having traveled cleanly through their brow, and sailed onward behind them. In short, I want War - I want to hold Kaela's bloody hand and prance upon the fields - reveling in the mastery of art that our people have crafted. I want to watch the Autarch paint destruction: each valley her fresh canvas, a dozen kills per brushstroke. I want to behold the Solitaire's gifted portrayal of taking Excess in all things: how he dances across the stage, how he exalts in timeless depravity. I want to sculpt death. My hands around their neck like potter's clay. I mold them into the cover of my choosing, I press them into shelter with suppression - and when their deaths have taken shape - I cast them into the crucible of blades. I paint the walls of their shelter in blood and fear, I cast their bodies artfully over crates, against the walls - then leave them lie for the carrion crows. The crows are patrons of my work - they enter the gallery once I am gone - and look upon my art with their keen eyes - "look here" they say, admiring the tasteful choice of stroke - how bisecting one foe in half draws attention to the captured horror in their frozen face. The fallen gestures of my foe - not merely left in a mound - I guide their deaths in such a way to face the viewer - to say, "Here stood greatness" - and so my viewers feel empowered, they appreciate my art - and on this the crows feast - not on flesh, but the calligraphy of my glaive.
I like to imagine it becomes an Ork Relic, passed down to their leaders for generations, Nkwizita' Bluddflags Posh Hat.
For Eldar? #ALL the aspect and exarch gear! Grenades, glorious grenades! (let's see.. Plasma, Haywire, Meltabomb, Hallicunogen, I'd like "inferno" (area DoT) ,.. ) Swooping Hawk grenade dispenser. (for all "Flight of the Valkyries" needs) Mandiblasters,.. Power sword option for swooping hawks, Chainsabres, I'd like Banshee poweraxes in addition to the exarch gear, Spear options for Warlock, Dire Avenger, uuhhm.. Variable firing modes for (some of) the lasblasters: laser-shotgun mode, to sunrifle rate of fire, to laser-sniper rifle. All useable whilst flying/swooping. Eldary scopes that are functional The way I see Dire Avengers+Sword working: I'd suspect they get the "shimmershield", becoming the eldar version of "Assault Marine without a jetpack but with a shield". FIRE-AXE for fire dragons. For when you can't decide if you want to chop off your enemy's head, or put him on fire. Or for all your close combat vehicle punking needs. (Dreadnought: sweeet! a puny eldar to splat! /Raises fist Fire Dragon: /Twack Barbaric brute! Dreadnought: /Topples. WTF??? ) Warp Spiders: okay, teleporting is difficult. Some time after release, pretty please? Shining Spears. Pfah, footslogging plebs! REAL Eldar skewer their opponents on a lightbeam whilst wooshing at bolter-speed past. Jetbikes should be more than simply "bike that hovers a big wheel-distance of the ground"; you should be able to nearly fly: vary your altitude, etc. Rangers,.. #ALL the Eldar weapons. Bright Lance, Eldar Missile Launcher, Scatter Laser Star Cannon, Shuricen Cannon, (Shrieker cannon/ Shrieker ammo? Boom?) Aaaaand D-cannon (why hello mr Landraider! I brought a little something too! ) Vibro cannon (Slaanesh you say? I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the awesome) Shadow weaver Perhaps the Shadow spectres in the future, and their Prism Rifles; Hornets (Forgeworld), Warwalkers & wraithlords, Warp hunters, Aircraft: Nightwing, Phoenix, Nightshade/Crimson Hunter, Hemlock Wraithfighter, And then the Vampires (Which would be the eldar-y thunderhawk) Harlequins: the kiss, and that anti-grav flip belt thing XD. Warlocks: every ability they take can be used both offensively and defensively, or both to buff and debuff, to attack and to heal, yadayada. DESTRUCTOR! At least decent melee abilities.. I also don't see why the farseer/sorceror, with warp & melee needs to be more fragile than the apothekary with bolter & narthecium stuff.. play-time will tell I suppose. The Neural Shredder? Farseer: mind war, eldritch storm (cause baby you're a fiiiirework, c'mon let your cooolours burst!) Webways yes, but not as only "deployment" system. Holofields and stuff, A host of "trickery" wargear, fake holographs of eldar warrior, eldar tanks, Halicunogenic grenades I already mentioned, ..
On the topic of our Jet bikes, I think Unreal 3 got it right with the Manta: You can kind of jump with it - create a short upthrust - to leap over objects, and you drift down slower when you are airborne - and you can combine those to almost fly (thrust off a high cliff etc). Mostly though, the Manta was for running people over - and I think the Jetbike 'wings' are Scythe shaped for exactly that reason too *sings* All the other races better run better run, faster than my jet bike
