Unbeknownst to the Meks, the Orks had very nearly stumbled upon the larger Eldar warhost, and it was only a quick response by the Autarch's intrepid Corsairs that diverted the Orks. The gunfire the Orks were hearing was their advance party skirmishing with the Alaitoc warhost. Saranthir watched from atop her Fire Prism as the Corsairs and Avengers dealt with the Ork trackers. She was itching to get back into the fight against the Greenskins, but she knew that as soon as she showed her face, the Orks would send for backup, and they would be right back to where they were in the canyon.

Commander Aurelius entered the room just as the Inquisitor finished the communique to the Knight. His stride indicating the serious nature of the meeting, helmet tucked under one arm as he enters the room and greets its occupants. "Inquisitor, Lord General, I am here on behalf of the Sable Swords Chapter to assist in the investigation of the disappearance of the Rogue Trader Kitus. What is the situation?"

Alicia picked up the signal via Vox beads, having it relayed by her ship. "Same reason you are, I picked up the distress call and was in the area. Right now I'm asking around for anything of note planetside." She had an upbeat tone, as she kept up her search of the Space-Port for anyone with a lead on anything of note. 'And so far, nothing's come up.'

"Iz used to have da same problem wiff me zzap guns an kannons. Tell ya wot, I'll 'elp ya make demz more accurate if yooz just build enough fer met a kit out some O me boyz an ourselvez. Could make ourselvz some sorta fancy Stormgit squad, cept wiffout da Rokkits an instead Tellyportas! " Oh that idea excited him very much, bright flashes and electrical surges always struck a deeper chord with the Big Mek than big oily streams of smoke and fire, appealing as was only Orky but nto so much as the zzappy.

((Oh Angles, sorry if it wasn't made clear before but there isn't actually an Imperial presence on the planet. XD There are no spaceports, towns, or anything. As far as they're aware, there's nothing there at all - though they're coming to the realization it may be infested with Orks. ;) We can always make it so she was talking to people on her ship through the VOX though. :) ))

    Inquisitor Annihilus

"I'll be quick in explaining the situation, Commander," replied the Inquisitor. "My men can give you the full details, if you wish for them. We were, until very recently, unaware of any presence upon the planet of Sanguis. However, in the last few minutes our satellite photos have picked up various strange anomalies. Three ancient structures; small, but possibly with human origins scattered across the planet. And then this, an explosion over the western continent. It's small - which means there could be some natural explosion such as a cavern of gas lighting, or there could be some form of contact down there. A battle, in other words."

He rubbed his chin, before turning back to the VOX and continuing his conversation with Alicia. "Freeblade, the current state of the planet is unknown to us. What do you see there? Can you make out any structures, or intelligent life-forms? We have detected an explosion near a series of canyons in the westernmost continent, and believe there may be some form of military contact going on there. I strongly advise you to return to your ship and wait for we aboard this cruiser to decide a course of action - though if you were to act as a forward scout and report findings, it would be most helpful. Though you would do so at your own risk, you understand."

"I am transmitting the co-ordinates of the explosion to you now, as well as a strange structure we found over satellite. It's several hundred kilometers from your location and may simply be an ancient, abandoned building or tower. It is your choice, Freeblade."

    Eldar Forces

"Autarch," said one of the forward Rangers over Saranthir's communication system. "We have discovered several Ork encampments and settlements to the East. Farseer Elteros urges that we make haste to them with a small strike-force."

"Indeed," said the Farseer, channeling into the communications system. "In those encampments we will find something of interest. Something that will aid our cause greatly. It is imperative that we purge the location of Ork and take control of this asset so that the rest of our force may move with purpose. Your strike-force is ideally suited to this task, Autarch. You will be outnumbered, so use the element of surprise and strike like a blade between ribs. Our remaining forces will remain in the canyon, setting up a perimeter base around the Webway gate. We will engage our Webway Gate's cloaking device, hiding us from the Orks. Ensure they do not discover us, or follow you back should you return."

    <Alicia Angelous>
Alicia reminded herself of the constant Vox contact between her and crew over anything of note that clearly she miss-remembered as talking to people planetside before responding to the Inquisitor "I'll take a look at the explosions you've sighted, so far the place seems deserted, no buildings nor intelligent life."
She went back into her deployment ship which lifted off to go to the westernmost continent, then she left the ship again but this time in her Knight, heading off to the coordination the Inquisitor sent. She stopped within sensor range of the the area, and started a sensor sweep revealing that a sizable number of orks were present in a canyon.
So she walked further to see what was in the canyon, and what she saw...

Reval nodded and examined the papers carefully. Ancient structures, possibly dating as far as the time of Heresy; Something, or someone, causing mayhem on an otherwise lifeless world. Intriguing situation they had in their hands.
"I understand my part in this and I guarantee you that my forces will take on whatever's down there, Inquisitor." The Lord General said and cracked his knuckles, smiling devilishly. "Just give the word and we'll get out boys down there."
He tapped his palm a few times, already forming a thousand possible scenarios in his head. "I will deploy everything at once; every soldier, every vehicle, and every crate of supplies. Naturally, I will be deploying my command vehicle, the Capitol Imperialis, as well."
"I will form a wide perimeter around the Capitol Imperialis, a heavily defended perimeter; one that will have no weak spots for the potential enemy to exploit. The perimeter will be used as a landing site for the possible Imperial reinforcements."
"I will leave nothing to chance, Inquisitor. Not a single man under my command will die in vain on that lifeless planet."
The Lord General Militant would see this campaign through and emerge victorious. He had always done so.

The General Militant had just earned the respect of the Force Commander, provided he could follow up with his promise, the Sable Swords did not waste their own, and though they were not hesitant to feed the Guardsmen into the grinder, they never did it without a purpose, and many a Guard officer had found himself on the bad side of a member of the Chapter for wasting the lives of his men.

"General Militant, with your permission, I would also like to establish my planetside headquarters alongside yours for the time being. My men and I will secure a bulkhead for your troops to land. My Cruiser Defender of Obsidia is currently on station to provide assistance with the ground assault, and to begin preparations for the boarding actions necessary to investigate Kitus's fleet, which we can discuss after securing a base of operations planetside. I can be ready to launch the assault within the hour."

OOC: making me intro post :D

the tellyporta close to bigzzap startet shaking violently again and after a short time of elektrikal currets creating small lightning arks amongst other things, a sudden flash of light.
After the life had fated only a single figure stood tall, though a sudden eruption of many orks screams of pain was also suddenly there. The tellyporta had malfunctioned a bit, so only the warboss who had stood in the safest location had gotten safely through, with other orks now litterally part of the ground since the machine had made a little off shoot.

The boss was not a particularly big warboss, though he still boasted a mega armor with an oversized killsaw instead of the right arm, and a twin linked shoota in held in a firm grap in what seemed to be a special mega armor hand. The boss looked around and down at the many dying orks "AH ZOGIT, WOS BULT DIS TELLYPORTA, ITS KILED SOM OF ME FAVRITE GITZ" the warboss roared, clearly furius with the failings of the teknology.
