Founders are voting on the 5th chapter right now and Salamanders are not an option (Imperial Fists, Iron Hands and Raven Guard). I don't remember the details, so I may have a few bits mixed up or wrong: The original plan was to use a new experimental server-side technology that could hold in theory over a thousand simultaneous players with little lag, but the company failed to deliver or something along those lines. Some developers may have over-promised features at launch hoping said tech would work and the current team is currently doing damage control. So the new (temporary) plan is to have smaller instanced matches (think Space Marine or Battlefield) for a while until the devs can come up with a way to implement open-world similar to Planetside. Well I love the salamanders, vary interesting home world they come from and their armor customization would be endless with Fire drake hides to costem armor molds for salamander characters, They may even have special weapons tide to them. But that would be playing favorites for the devs if they decide to pimp out our bad-ass salamanders... mabye they can sell us a pack called The Salamanders Pack if they really want to milk us lovers.
