<Bridge - Draconion, Feron, Brandt, Dorallius, Volorox, Melgator Zeth, Ixtab> @Draconion @DeranVendar @Uriel1339 @Grall_Stonefist @Vulpas @High_Adept_Zeth @Xaphen OOC giving ofc more time for @Vulpas & @Xaphen to do their kill posts Necron forms fell on the floor as they felt the unleashed wrath of the Deathwatch Space Marines and their comrades. Dorallius's fire was true and only a single Necron warrior tried to get up from where he had fallen, only for Excoriator to once again riddle it with bullets before finally ending its miserable existence. Draconion took the biggest blunt of the attackers onto himself, who now was fighting around dozen of Necron Warriors in melee combat. The constructs were indeed slow, but they weren't helpless as they came at him, scoring a couple of deep cuts in his armor with their bladed rifles that forced him into defense, effectively tying him up in this combat. He would have probably gotten overwhelmed if not for the help of his Salamander comrade and Skitarii Ranger, who's archaic weapon blasted through the aliens, completely annihilating two of the incoming Necrons before one of them turned towards the newcomer and began firing at him, the green blast thankfully missing Zeth and obliterating a wall next to him. But that wasn't the worse thing as further down the corridor he heard moving - the aliens were bringing reinforcements and both him and Ixtab had to fight through towards the Bridge and link up with the rest or stay out here and get overrun. But on the other side, just like Feron guessed, another foe appeared, coming at them through the side walls of the Bridge itself. Indeed, the first wave of Necron warriors was only a distraction as a host of Wraiths came at them, attacking from behind. Sister Brandt was first to be hit as she was focusing on flaming up the warriors attacking Librarian that she didn't turn fast enough to evade a swipe from sharp tail that went through her shoulder and tossed her across the floor, her armor reporting damage as she struggled to defend herself while the Wraith attacking her came at her, clicking with its sharp claws and green lenses filled with hate. Dorallius was also attacked from behind although not by one but by no less than three Wraiths, him managing to fire from the hip and prevent one of those from reaching him as he burst the Necron apart however other two still went through his guard. The first one went for his leg and stabbed through his armor, ripping the ceramite and flesh beneath with great ease. It made Excoriator drop on his knees, just enough time for him to look as the third Wraith came and was about to slam its tail straight into his chest before a huge black form pounced on the construct from behind, tearing it to bits and saving Dorallius's life. Thunderwolf was there for him, the beast (if that wasn't clear before) obviously managing to separate friends from foes and thus giving the Marine time to respond (OOC you can kill the last Wraith attacking you). Since he was prepared for it, Feron managed to destroy two of the Wraiths and would perhaps even kill more right there if not for a huge crashing sound that came from the nearby wall and one of the more serious enemies joined the fray. Cutting the wall apart, from their left side came a big alien construct Deathwatch Marines knew was classified as Tomb Spyder. It clicked with its huge claws that could easily rip Space Marine in two pieces as it came at them, organizing the remaining Wraiths into formation that pressed the Team from the back. They were in a tight spot now, being attacked from all sides with a no place to run. But they were Space Marines, the Emperor's finest and they will not fall. OOC enemies: 10 Necron Warriors (+ incoming reinforcements but you still can't see exact troops), 10 Wraiths, 1 Tomb Spyder (Boss). You can kill 2-3 enemies (and only attack boss like usual) with your next post. Perhaps there's a lot of them, but there's also a lot of you in there <Amraphel, Sigismund, Vulpin, Satoshi, Temvero> + Dart @DeathKorpsOfKrieg @Loldoom @Vulpas @WanderingJester @BadDo9 @PorOborosCain Soon, Satoshi was led towards an underground tunnel crossroads where he was met by a first grown man, interestingly dressed in an Imperial navy uniform, or at least what they used thousands of years ago, informing the Roning that his friends were safe and sound. Eventually, Temvero was also led there where two of them joined up and followed their new guide towards the underground settlement where they met the rest of their Team. While they were led towards the Chapel where Sigismund, Vulpin and man formerly known as Hoga Nar were talking, the Marines were greeted by Amraphel, who busied himself cleaning his pistols and preparing them from further combat. "Greetings newcomers, I see that you also found your way inside this little city. How was your trip?" he laughed but without humor, not dropping his guard even for a second. Once they were all gathered under the watchful gaze of the statue of their Lord an Master, they were free to figure out their next move.
"I.V! You're taller than I pictured you to be!" Satoshi laughed as he greeted the other loyalists in the chapel. "So what's the plan now?" He scanned the others and addressed the question of the pistoleer, "Meh, it was ok. Wished we stopped by one of the restaurants on the way in though. Killing Necrons does work up an appetite. I would rate the city currently at 4 out of 10, mostly because of the whole killer machines things on the street trying to eradicate all life in existence, but also for the lack of decor and plain style of the architecture. I mean I have nothing against the plain style, just that it's plain without the simple beauty here." As he finished talking Talon flew from the tunnel they were in to land on the Ronin's shoulder. The Ventus shifted on its perch. It seems that being in confine spaces underground made the avian uncomfortable.
<Feron> "Volorox, relieve Sister Brandt so she can keep flooding that hallway with fire! Draconion fall back to our position, engage enemy Wraiths. Zeth, free range on your targets, Ixtab help Renate hold that hallway against their warriors! " Popping his second krak grenade into the shoulder mounted launcher he readied his bolter assessing possible moves. In a span of two seconds he had a rough enough idea in mind for how to proceed immediately moving to lessen the threat against Dorallius with another kraken round that punched a Wraith from the air, tail slicing 'gainst the floor in a final act of defiance before its inner lighting died with a final twitch of its expressionless head. With their scales evened to two on two Feron's attention snapped toward those Wraiths who hadn't set off to specific targets yet, immediately plucking two more from the air as a volley of five rounds stitched the walls and Necrodermis alike with powerful armor piercing impacts that created a row of blooming spark showers. Seven dead Wraiths to his name thus far, none too shabby in his mind and it was a fine start to what he expected would be a hard slog to evacuation. Zeroing in on the Tomb Spyder Dragonfire shells were prepped, chambered and fired as the Salamander sought to drown both director and underlings alike in an expanding cloud of promethium. Knowing fire even as intensely hot as that wielded by Astartes wasn't going to really be that effective against living metal bodies he set his initial goal to melting away sensor units and inflicting what damage he could along with drowning any as of yet unseen reinforcements behind the newcomers in flame, their foes had a nasty habit of bringing plenty of Scarabs in their wake after all and they were plenty weak enough that his flames should be able to set fire to the entire carpet if they were present.
Battered, cut and hard-pressed, Draconion barges and kicks his way to the edge of the melee, regretting his rashness in charging the massed Necrons alone, and deeply thankful for the aid of his comrades. Blasting the last few warriors off himself with a telekinetic concussion wave, he closes ranks with the others to cover their flanks against close assault. Meantime, the drakeling swoops, dodges and rolls amidst the clumsy-if-murderous strokes of the Necrons, expertly making them look stupid and distracting them, doing a little extra damage with the odd claw swipe or burst of plasma heartfire. Noting its friend falling back to the defensive cordon, it follows suit and orbits over the heads of the team, never offering the Necrons a stationary target while seeking victims of opportunity all the while. First of all, he leaps to the aid of the Canoness. Ryugamaru and Purgatory blaze to brighter life as he further opens the tap of psychic power to enable them to burn through the Wraiths even in their intangible phases. Chasing the Wraith back with a vicious diagonal backhand of Ryugamaru, he abruptly changes his tempo and lengthens his stride with the followup thrust with Purgatory, drastically extending his range faster than the cold machine intelligence of the construct can calculate, spitting the autonomous weapon on the molten blade and immolating it in a blaze of psychic power - intangibility be damned. Noting that Dorallius' situation was well in hand with the Thunderwolf's intervetion, Draconion turns his attention to the Tomb Spyder. Knowing full well its combative power as well as its true strategic value as a rejuvenator of fallen troops, he decides to turn his full attentions on it. "Brothers and Sisters - cover me a moment!" Even as he speaks, he levels both swords at the Tomb Spyder and gathers his powers, digging deep into his reserve of control to master the raging flood of energy he seeks to tear from the Warp and mould it to his desires. Sensing its friend's need, the drakeling hovers behind him in the cover of his backpack, spreading its wings and lending its own innate psychic mastery to the effort. Shaping a plasma kinetite the size of his torso, he heats it to rippling invisibility, then supercharges it with as much Warp power as he can sanely manage. Crackling with the amethyst un-light and anti-colours of the Warp, he flings it at the speed of a bolt shell, right at the Tomb Spyder and its attendant guard of Wraiths.
Ixtab slowly followed his ranger brother. While it was sprinting speed for most humans, but compared to the Ranger it was just a brisk walk. Still through some of his bionics, he could already tell what was happening, how, when, where, but not what. If it was not for Zeth's data burst, Ixtab would still pondering the initial enemy. Something he did not enjoy doing. Slacking. The Soulless. More commonly known to other by the name, Necron. A enemy that he had never personally fought. Only a few times he gone through simulations, but never once met them truly in the field. It mattered little, simulations were very accurate and this a great opportunity for him. Excitement rushed through Ixtab's head. Syncing perfectly with his brother, Ixtab shot a rad round into Zeth's attacker. Once to the head and another to the spine. He knew of their reconstruction ability, but it took time to occur and he could also detect the upcoming hostiles. Ixtab approached Zeth's position to keep cohesion, but still staying back to not cause radiation poising. +Why are you idle Ranger? Have you already been injured?+ It was a joke, but in binary it was always hard to tell.
-Volorox Volorox Waited patiently as the necrons began coming in his boots were mag locked and his own jump pack was ready to activate at a moments noticed he smiled as the bigger necron came in first letting him see now what may be the leader of these current necrons that were assaulting him he wen't to his belt grabbing one of his two kraks and took aim and through it from his roof position at the Tombspyder. He then took aim at the advancing necron horde near the Sisters postion and aimed his jump pack at a group of necrons that were coming through the door. He activated it and deactivated his boots and came flying down. His halberd aimed at a necron pierced his its chest. as he landed with a small shock wave. He lifted his halberd and cut another necron in half He began aiding the sister of battle. -Vulpin Vulpin as he looked to the others was somewhat glad they now were regroup now they could begin a plan. "So has anyone Found a way to contact our ship in space or has any kind of idea we can get word to them?" Vulpin asked. "I was unable to contact the moon team not strong enough to get my thoughts across space to our other librarian." Vulpin said as he looked to the others. His small familiar still at his side of his leg looking at the others also
<Underground settlement - Vulpin, Sigismund, Amraphel, Temvero, Satoshi, Dart> "Quite an interesting tale you got there Brother," Amraphel said it so it sounded like he meant completely opposite before leaning against the nearby wall. "Tell me Swarog, now that we are all here, I am right when I assume that the base of our alien friends is inside the golden Pyramid?" "Yes, they only come out of that place," human leader confirmed, "Like I said earlier, there are ways to get inside of it using nearby tunnels. We tried to do some damage couple of times but the sentries there proved to be more than we could chew, some kind of floating machine monstrosities that can move through walls and stuff. Once our 2nd raid failed, I decided not to attempt it any further but now that you are here, perhaps we can give it another shot?" <Bridge battle - Volorox, Feron, Draconion, Dorallius, Ixtab, Brandt, Zeth> OOC giving time for @Grall_Stonefist & @High_Adept_Zeth to reply before proceeding with their parts ofc. As Ixtab spoke, he saw that couple of more surviving Necron Warriors turned and began firing their way (three of them in total), one managing to score a glancing hit that took off a part of Skitarii's shoulder pad but other than that didn't damage any important system. More like it, the man understood that they were only trying to slow them down, as from the back of the tunnel the first sight of reinforcement approached in form of aliens known as Necron Immortals, carrying heavy gauss blasters that would sure wreak havoc on the flesh and metal alike. With the timely assistance of Marine Malevolent who promptly dispatched her attacker, Sister Brandt managed to get on her feet and cover Draconion's back, preventing remaining Warriors to take a good shot and kill Librarian from afar. Holy Prometheum did little to stop the aliens at first, but as she kept on pouring it couple of Warriors stopped dead in their tracks and afterwards fell on the ground, their limbs completely melted. Adding to that, Sister threw a frag grenade that detonated inside their formation, finishing off those who were near death. Volorox kept on dueling with the Wraiths managing to score couple of more kills and earn a number of cuts across his torso as he looked upon the big construct, the damage it inflicted and how him and his brothers fought to stop it. His krak grenade fell short of the Spyder, instead of him annihilating a nearby Wraith and showering another with deadly shrapnel, making it fall on the ground and start twitching, phasing in and out of reality. Once again, Feron's judgement was sound as his flaming ammunition wrecked havoc upon the until then unseen swarm of Scarabs that came after the Tomb Spyder, destroying most of them with his firing and almost completely preventing them from repairing other Necron constructs. Little buggers managed only to fix two Wraiths before they were also blown to hell, courtesy of the warrior from Nocturne. But of course, that made him the prime target for the big one and the Spyder wasn't about to pass the opportunity of avenging its "brood". It came at him and grazed him with a wide swipe of one of its huge claws, the "graze" enough to send Feron flying through the air and ending up across the room, his left shoulder armor completely broken. As he tried to get up, he could clearly see that Draconion dashed in to help with the construct, the Librarian creating his customary plasma blast, now even amplified by his newly found familiar. Blue ball of warp energy went flying towards the Spyder and it impacted on it in a blaze of green light. Nearby Wraiths were basically incinerated by the blast, however the big construct remained completely untouched by it, as if it had some sort of a device protecting it from such things. Draconion would have all the time to think about it as a huge claw came crashing down and impaled his arm before ripping it apart in a shower of oil and blood (because of bionic limb etc), dropping him on the ground and making him lose his prized blade Ryugamaru that fell somewhere beneath the Spyder, which was even now coming at him with claws set in a way so they would cut him in two with the next sweep. EDIT OOC enemies: 5 Necron Warriors, 4 Wraiths, 1 Tomb Spyder, ?? Immortals. Feel free to attack something
<Feron> As it had a thousand times before Feron's world was rocked through his eyes with a blur of passing ceiling, a brief twist mucking up his view of the floor before contacting with an ancient cogitator, shattering it along with his arm upon impact. Claws had seen to it his armor was ruined while blunt impact made sure that flesh and bone were both punished as well leaving him with a fractured shoulder blade sending lances of white hot pain through his body whilst trying to rise, pain quickly dulled by the familiar rush of combat stimms flooding his body. Abandoning his bolter to a mag-locked positioned over his back he was left a few precious seconds to draw Skull Splitter and pay witness to Draconion's disarming, immediately the Salamander was pushing himself back into the action iron will clamping down hard on the brotherly instinct to tunnel both thought and vision to destroying the Spyder, he had greater duties at hand and other lives to watch for and that demanded total awareness. Primary approach hosting Immortals and Warriors, alternative entrance seemingly clear, need to begin plotting extraction route. A thunk punctuated his thought as the krak grenade was expended sending it spiraling toward the Tomb Spyder's neck joint, where warp fueled pyrotechnics failed perhaps something more conventional would do the job. "Feron to all points form up on the breached wall, Brandt, Volorox and Ixtab deploy disruptive grenades down the hall before breaking. They'll outgun us at range so lets force them into arms reach here while mopping up the Wraiths. " Hammer clenched in cold steel he lunged in after his grenade intent on smashing into the construct before it could bring his comrade any further harm. "Dorallius secure the breach, I think its about time we prep for evacuation, Gaius any word on where you're intending to land? " Homing in on an arm joint Feron twisted Skull Splitter so that the pick was arcing toward the sphere of living metal planning on a surgical puncture and tear rather than hoping he could batter it out of socket in one swing.
Draconion has just enough time to see Feron sent flying across the bridge before the Spyder turns its attentions to him and quite literally disarms him. His world narrowing down to the giant construct, himself and his sword - the work of his own two hands - lying beneath the Spyder as it barrels forward to end him with its claws. Thinking quickly, he dives between and beneath the bisecting claw swipe, gliding along the metal deck beneath the Tomb Spyder on an invisible frictionless sheet of telekinetic force. As he slides, he rolls on his back to face his assailant. A mental twitch sweeps Ryugamaru off its resting place on the deck in an invisible hand and plunges it into the belly of the mechanical monster, blade seething with power at the psychic touch of its master. A brief arc of stellar flare connects sword and master as, with a mental effort, Draconion sends a brief, sharp burst of psychic power into the Spyder to disrupt its internal mechanisms and stun it. Rising to his feet in one smooth motion, he follows through by plunging Purgatory hilt-deep into the Spyder's belly alongside Ryugamaru. Cerulean-and-orange witchfire blazes from his eyes and mouth as, with a roar, he flings open the floodgates of Warp power and pours everything he has into the Tomb Spyder through both force swords at once.
A rad round penetrated a head of a Necron Warrior that seeked Zeth`s demise. ++"We are all...warriors of the Omnissiah Lord Feron."++spoke Ranger over the vox as his cover was revealed by Feron`s appraisal of the Skitarii. Suddenly,Ixtab`s binaric stream scrolled down his left eye,and Ranger turned, seeing even worse horrors then these...wicked...enemies of the Cult of the Machine, his data-squirt notrified him they were Necron Immortals,oe of the oldest of these foul xeno.Their mere presence offends the Machine God...and they shall be eliminated! "Wounded?"rhetorically asked Zeth as he cocked his head weirdly at Vanguard.Ixtab is a Vanguard Alpha...and as such has prime modifications and augmentations, which are more then able to read Ranger`s binaric telemetry.Then...why does he ask? Just as it had dawned on him,a pyrotechnic display erupted on the bridge and flashes of various colors errupted.Zeth didnt need to turn,he could see it from vid-feed from Alpha`s stream. ++"Tactical withdrawal?I shant leave until these abominations are cleansed! It is a data imperative of the Tech-Guard!"++voxed Zeth with great zeal as he aimed an Immortal down his tech-arcane sight of his devastating weapon.Variables were recovered and cogitated.Calculus was within the optimal zone.Ranger fired. The recoil of the Arqebus when set down was small...but the ignition on the transuranic ammo flared earlier, burning through whatever defense the Necrons had. Then Ranger fired again, the barrel on the Arqebus rotating to a new round, ejecting with a trail of grey smoke the spent one. Then he fired again. ++DEATH TO THE ENEMIES OF THE OMNISSIAH++ blurted Zeth, screeching in binaric noise as he saw Vanguard getting shot, telemetry showing a shoulder paludron hit. OOC:Would have replied earlier...even yesterday. But i was kept away.
