tempestus spoke once on the trip "dont worry as long as you dont steal its food it is as tame as a pup, though that may be as im more metal than man" as he spoke the dreadnaught looked to the chaplin "should we need i will cover our retreat from the station with a salvo of death"

Chuckling at the blood claw's behavior, Sigismund looked at the two marines that still stayed. "Westwards then? There isn't much junk there to hide anything much, but it isn't impossible. I'll head that way, there isn't much to hide behind so I should be able to cover a large area by myself, keep in touch." The knight turned his horse around and started at a fast walk, keeping his eyes open for tracks, human, vehicle or creature.

"I am not concerned, it is still a primal beast. What concerns me though is rather of how unique it's properties are. Either way, as long as it tears the enemy and not me apart, we all shall be fine." The Blood Raven shrugged slightly.

The Blackshield payed no attention to his leaders disappearance. When the knight decided to actually inform him of his movements, the Nameless shook his head in acknowledgment. Moving on with him. His step were slowed by all the garbage and waste that populated the man made wasteland. He kept his Bolter close to his chest and payed attention to the Bolt-belt that fed the weapon. It would be a shame if it jammed due to clogging.

As others met up with Feron and Amraphel, their descent into the Underhive went undisturbed. They followed the wide street through the main entrance and soon found the path slowly angling downwards. After a while, the street began narrowing and less and less cars and citizens could be seen here. That was the moment they also encountered a dazzling sight of the entire part of the Underhive sprawling in front of their eyes.

From their vantage point (OOC imagine your path was a road on a cliff and you stopped to take a look at the nature below you) in the distance below them they could see various hab blocks, old buildings, makeshift fires that provided illumination since there was no electricity down here. To the far right, they could see a rail station with many mag trains in it, to the left there were series of hab blocks, darker than those sprawling in front of them to the north, and an occasional flash of light that might be anything. In front of them was also a huge territory of small houses and other buildings, while far to the north they could see a huge building rising but what it was, they couldn't know. But for more directions they should look somewhere else, their luck would take it that there was something that looked like small market right at the end of their path, with various shady characters going around the "shops" - a place where gear from other levels of the hive was redistributed.

"Aaa...Space Marine?" the officer's eyes widened with shock, apparently never seeing one before did that to the man, that and Draconion's psychic "nudge". As if only seeing Jean after it, he made a bow, "And a Sister of Battle! Not one, but two Paragons of the God-Emperor are here on Onpuku! What a day! Please, come. We will take you to Governor's Palace instantly!"

The man offered them to enter the Chimera transports and soon they were off, headed for their intended destination.

The trio took the Western "path", beginning their trek through these landfills. At first, they were unable to find any significant tracks in all this dirt but after a while, they could see that garbage was somewhat disturbed, as if someone was digging through it (number of holes in the dirt where there shouldn't be any). It was also the time when the Blackshield began developing a sense of unease, as if someone was watching him.

The creature silently watched Steinar as the Marine approached, but as he offered his hand, the "dog" saw it for what it was - a tasty morsel. It lashed out and bit Steinar's gauntlet, but only managing to break couple of its teeth. With a howl it lurched backwards, running away from the Marines and further into the distance, howling and barking as it went.

    <Mining Station>

After 20 minutes, the Thunderhawk reached the Mining station and landed in one of it's hangar bays. The places like this weren't overly complicated when it came to defense, only a couple sentry guns on the outer side of its hull. However, the Storm Lord pilot knew their location and evaded their scans successfully, bringing them to the station undetected which was Marmaroth's plan all along - if there were any heretics on board, better to catch them unaware.

The hangar they landed in was dark and it looked unused, since it was the one furthest of all. It was made for those better times when great number of freighter's would dock in the station and buy or transport the gas. However, those times were long gone and the only thing that welcomed them was silence and dust. So far, so good.

"Brother Veritas," the Chaplain ordered as he walked out of the gunship and placed his heavy boot on the dark plasteel ground, "Use your powers and try to find where is the biggest gathering of souls on this station. Also while you are at it, look for any strange occurrences after we landed or similar stuff, corruption can be a subtle thing after all."

Waving over to the wolf creature and the Techmarine, he gave out a warning. "Stay close and don't separate, not until we know what are we dealing with here." Not that there was a real situation on the station, more like it they came here uninvited and now it was Marmaroth who acted like an invader, but it was something in his tone that offered reassurance for his actions. As if he knew to expect trouble here...

The wasteland was atrocious. It almost resembled a death world. He would know. The thick grey soil, if you could call it that was sloppy and moist. Making the Astarte's feet sloth behind the Knight and his beast. If only his brothers could see him now...

As he trailed behind his partner, he began to notice slight differences in the terrain. There was trail of ditches slowly moving forward. Probably nothing, but he had felt something at the back of his neck the whole time so far. He didn't know where he was and even less of what this wasteland contained, so he would obviously be on high alert. This was different though, it was like an irk or a itch that could not be scratched. Between his armor's clanking and squeaking and the Knight's clomping, they were making enough noise to call out anything that would of been looking. The terrain also provided no good cover, leaving them sitting ducks.

For the forth time he zoomed in on the background, constantly checking for anything that could or would be a threat. Even with all his Armor's advanced systems, he could not find anything. No filter or high power zoom's reported anything. Yet...

As Volorox went threw the wastes with his team holes in the dirt near some garbage. As he turned to look at the garbage he decided he would possibly investigate with the pole arm of his halberd. "hmmm maybe something. Think there are any worm like creatures in this planet that can borrow threw the waste?" he asked as he went to look around the disturbed sight slightly moving around the ground with the bare end of his chain halberd.

  8. Fenix stepped off the ship last, as both pilot and co-leader. Once everyone was assembled, and Fenix made note of a new dent on the exit ramp, she addressed the group.
"Listen up, for this mission to succeed you only need to follow two rules. Don't draw attention to yourselves and shoot first. This isn't an active war zone and we are not Inquisitorial agents. Our orders are to stay under the enemy's radar until absolutely necessary. When our guns are pointed at the target's throat. Since we are a rather large group, we will be splitting up as we make for the underhive. Once there we shall converge on the local bounty office. If we can manage that, we might just pull this off."
Dart was already hard at work verifying local maps and access codes. Everything they should need to get to the underhive without hinderance.
"Feron @DeranVendar , Six @Casavay , and... Ratty @DaKaptin are with me. The rest of you will be moving with the Detective. For safe measure, my servo skull will accompany you. Any questions? Good. Let's get moving."
Inside Fenix's helmet, Dart's voice chimed in.
"Why did you seperate Rocky and Edd? I told you he doesn't care for you very much."
"That's exactly why I did it. He'll work all the harder to get back to his friend and unlike the ogyrn, he is still mine to order as I see fit. Never hurts to have another meatshield."
"If anything should happen to him because of you, Edward will not take it well."
"That's the sub's name? Sounds too smart for him. And your opinion is under advisement."
Fenix turned to Lyander, the cold helmet visor showing no emotions.
"Unless you have something to add, Co-Leader."

    <Feron>
"Confirmed Team Lead One. " Feron muttered it into his vox-bead as he began shuffling off once more. "Seems we'll be parting ways Brother Amraphel, stay sharp out there, places like this tend to be as cutting in the clean as they are in the filth. " Leaving it at that he began charting his own path, ducking down an alley way and stepping over a collapsed drunkard, or perhaps some fool with his throat cut, Feron shifts his helmet up to plant it on firmly in place, much easier to carry on despite the squalid surroundings if his face were hidden not to mention live data-feed would make navigation much, much easier. Looking through the findings of this 'Dart' fellow booted feet stamped out through another alley bringing him amidst a steaming street market where various meats best left unidentified hung from hook laden stalls or were strewn across cutting boards.

A piggish looking fellow with a mustache thick with sweat and snot hollered at him, something about a big fella wanting big eats while he waved a fat sump-rat haunch at him but ended up ignored as his ear filtered out background noise continuing on for anything worthy of note. A feminine hand stroked at his side a moment with more background noise filtered out sparing him the calls of a few joy girls, his nose wrinkling up behind his helmet as a will of stone ground down whatever pity or remorse that might distract him from their mission. In many ways he wondered if death might of been a mercy for these people, it seemed so for a number of them at least as he noted limbs attached an loose occasionally snaking out from under piles of refuse in darkened corners, stripped of anything of value compared to a penniless life it was paid with for. Letting those morbid thoughts slip away Feron allowed his eye to focus on a lovingly distracting building outlined in white trim through his visor, Bounty Office in sight a few blocks and over a hundred hivers away. "Destination in sight, further instructions Fenix? Want me anywhere specific to await regroup or shall I take up watch elsewhere? "

    - Rocky and Edd
"Looks like were not gonna see each other fer a while Rocky."
"Don't worry Edd. I'm judt a vox call away, and remember what I said about those special rounds."
    "Okay, bye-bye rocky."

    - Edd
Edd took in the sites of the hive. As they progressed deeper into the bowels of the underhive Edd's enthusiasm wained with it. So many suffering people. Homeless or dying, even Edd's little mind could comprehend the tragity of it all. Even so, they had so many amazing things. So many kinds of foot, so many things to buy or sell, there was even a place of just meat. Meat of all shapes and sizes.
"I wonder wot dat pink meat wiff da scales es? Smart Detective man, do ya know wot meat that es?" Edd's mouth was watering, but he knew his mission didn't involve eating... Unless the boss said it was okay?
Edd spent most of the journey playing with Fenix's servo skull. It seemed to be going out of its way to keep Edd from getting lost.

    - Rocky
Following Fenix, begrudgingly, Rocky made note of the economic situation of the underhive. 'Dead body in each ally, joy girls on every block, there's one being dragged away by Arbites... Nothing out of the ordinary here.'
Rocky took a swig of his flask, the air of the hivecity leaving a bad taste in his mouth. "I know what you're up to bounty hunter, and your plan reiles on a single critical junction. If the bounty office knows anything and that they don't "shoot first" as you've so eloquently put it. That's the problem with you shoot em up types. If they get the drop on us a d you kill everyone, who does that leave to question?"
As they came within visual range of the Bounty Office, Rocky looked for signs of Edd's group. 'He'll be along any minute. How hard could it be to find an Ogryn with a bionic arm in a hivecity? Sounds like the start to a bad joke. Be safe out there Edward.' Rocky thought to himself.
