"Yes il be fine" as the overseer replied she gave a small smile "go on john make sure everyone is in a pair just in case"
More gun shots echoed through the vault. Followed by cries of pain and death. One fellow dweller was running towards the cafeteria for safety but was shot in the back, slumping forwards. It was the young boy Leeroy, just sixteen years young. At the end of the hallway old Larux (@GobMaw_HellSmasha ) could see the murderer... Some human with a weird hairdo, leather jacket and bloody sack on his head, the leg and arm armor was made out of rusty metals... What were these.... Things? The possible mutants the Vault-Tec videos warned before? Then where did they come from? So many questions... And horror occurring right before the so-far peaceful Vault Dwellers of Vault 41.
"Well...I got good news and bad news guys." he said turning away from the window to address everyone in a low whisper, "it's not Mirelurks...buuuuut it's something else that still wants to murder us all anyway. Also it just shot Leeroy. So I don't think it's keen on taking prisoners. Which is fine by me, I wasn't keen on letting it live. So, I'm gonna bash its brains in when it try's to come in here. They have guns, so I suggest you lot take cover and hide right now. If things go south...welllllll. I prefer medium well." As he gave everyone the details on the situation he kept himself propped near the side of the entrance to the cafeteria. True to his word, he had every intention to bash this person's...this thing's?...what ever the hell it is doesn't concern him. Because as it soon as it try's to walk through the door, he was going to use the stupidily heavy wrench of his to smash what ever brains this thing has across the floor. And by then, whatever it was didn't matter anymore. Spoiler: OOC Sneak attacking the hell out of this fool as soon as he walks through the entrance.
"well this isnt good" as she spoke selina moved to a table and turned it on its side as cover and drew her pistol "everyone get some cover just incase he survives the head blow"
Taking heed of the Overseer's words, and absorbing the most important parts of Old Larux's speech (medium well old man and a freshling for tea!) David slipped on his glasses and hunkered down behind a column, drawing his nailgun as he did so. The weapon was only really good for putting down mole rats, and the occasional mirelurk, but it was all he had and he was going to use it if he had to. If it weren't a mirelurk and it didn't appear to be a Vault Dweller that shot Leeroy then what the hell was it?
"Well if it survives the blow to head, I'm gonna keep hitting it in the head until it stops surviving getting hit in the head. Now quiet would ya! It might be coming down the hall right now..." He hissed as quietly as he could, being rather frustrated with the 'overseer' at this moment. He'd be damned if she was gonna end up getting Agnes killed due to her own incompetence. He readied himself for the thing to come walking through the door, and as soon as he made it in the room, he'd be right ontop of it. Putting his wrench to much more effective use then it's seen in years.
Meanwhile, in a moment of survival before glory, Agnes made an effort to remain silent, slowly creeping backwards, away from the hallway her father had went into, away from where she presumed the noises were coming from. She could barely see anything from down there, but there was no need to see when she could hear - people howling in agony, voices of friends and good neighbours that she'd grown up with. Frankly, the learned cook was scared enough that she did not even consider running, instead slowly, continuously moving backwards until her back hit something; the collision caused her to wince in surprise, though with a quick, frightened glance, she assured herself that it was merely another table. But the shock caused her to remain in place, sitting there, listening intently. Listening intently for her father, hoping that she would not hear him cry out.
Oliver hid in the shadows for a time and with the commotion that'd happened was mostly ignored with the issues of this new foe that'd appeared somehow in the Vault, Oliver returned to the enlightened area of the Cafeteria with his Nailgun at his side. He had a feeling a feeling within his gut that this was bad, worse than a Mirelurk or two that's got loose in the Vault as they'd be put down or sealed off quickly before they could do much damage. This new enemy seemed to be something much worse, it didn't sound like it'd killed that boy "Leeroy" for food but more for fun, if not sport. "Mutant, psycho, whatever that freak out there is it can die. I'll put enough of these nails into it until it does. I've seen the effects of idiots before shooting themselves with a nailgun. Hilarious as once this newbie shot his hand into a wall and it took several hours for the Vault to do anything about it. Well maybe you had to be there..." Oliver had a slight smile on his face as he slid his dark brown hair back with his left arm. "Anyone got any bright ideas how to kill this thing out there or is my plan of shoot it till it dies the best option we've got? If so I'd probably have to call you idiots. Then again I think I might have already at some point anyway..."
At this point in time Tony just kept himself quiet and ready for his ambush. If everyone else wanted to draw attention to themselves when this whatever it was showed up, then it was fine by him. More likely a chance of him catching this guy off guard if they had a few loudmouths distracting it from his strategy of beat it to death with a wrench. He just hoped Agnes wasn't going to be one of those distractions herself. The last thing he needed was to worry about that alongside dealing with this thing himself.
