Can we discuss the pros/cons of a 2 way reward system, whereas the player can be punished aswell as rewarded. I havnt seen this in many games except for the punishment of being killed. Annyone have any ideas, of course I dont suggest we make the game go backwards or you loose a gun etc.. My contribution; After 10 team kills, you are given some sort of visible marker (profile?) - that lets other people know that this person is known to tk.. (after 3 days with no tk it goes) Just small things. Negative achievements or something Thanks.
Iv heard your name somewhere? Just as a way of seeing who you want in your squad etc, promoting good play and advancment fir those who deserve it. It also works as a tutorial to show what you should be doing. Eg. Commander orders X. Guy does Y. He gets no/less loot or a negative tag..anything... You would want to correct that, well I would.. I dont want to be avoided and not liked because Im not productive and get everyone killed... Id want to look andnsee what I did wrong and correct it. Eg2 Bolter leveling system for eg. Lvl1 : kill x enemys - get y reward Etc If you kill enemys it goes +1.. if you tk with the bolter you go -1... you never unlock "cool.mod1" if your a doughnut. Etc etc. Why do you think its a good or bad idea? Thanks
Forcing players to do what "commander" says is a road to abuse though. And there'll probably be some sort of penalty for friendly fire.
I think that the temporary negative markers might be an interesting thought, but they will have to be managed carefully to ensure it's not like the US penal system, where once you get a record everyone sees you with a black mark whether it be social or a physical symbol.
Make FF point system, every damage you make deal gets you a point. After a while you can't use your guns. You just become a moving target because you can't use your guns, you can't get any more FF points, eventually your FF points run out then you can use them again.
