"A Traitor, probably lied about her origin, said was in an Imperial Regiment and her name was Lily. I ought to keep her outside until we would be done with the interrogation, but.... We decided to take her in. We knocked her out the moment she put a foot inside, restrained her and interrogated. But then we let her go and gave her a weapon to let her help us defend this place. Because there was knocking on the door but no reply. We assumed it had been the creatuers. But instead it had been traitors who wanted to kill us all and take our supplies."

Andreas reported to the Sarge as he looked throughout the room.

''I see. Damn them,'' Bruce said, shaking his head. ''It's so senseless. Those...things are out there, but people are still stupid and selfish.''

"I just wonder if they were truly of an Imperial Regiment... If so... Then it could be that we are surrounded by traitors and the last loyal soldiers to the God-Emperor." Andreas gulped a bit about that thought. They were under-equipped, almost out of supplies, had no more safety hideout and completely undermanned. Then there were not just those... Beings, but also traitors now?!

"FILTHY TRAITORS! TO THE WARP WITH THEM!" *Reginald's anger was clearly visible in the way he spoke*

*now calmer* "fear not, those of us who have died are with the Emperor now, and at peace, but yes, we should move, we may have to find another home..."

*Reginald noticed the nurse on the edge of tears and walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder*

"it is not your fault child, it was simply their time, and they are at a better place now, and they are at peace, do not grieve for their loss, but be glad that they lived in the first place"

Rex removed his bloodied gloves, sighing in a mixture of frustration and resignation. Another one down, damn it. Collecting what supplies he could from his surgery kit, the medic rose to regard Bruce and the others who had returned, shaking his head toward Becka before moving to collect the medical supplies he had gathered earlier. A part of him raged at the pointless deaths they had experienced in the last few minutes, perhaps less so in regards to B-Dawg.. However, he had known when he had first gotten to her side that Becka was done.

The kits in hand, he came back to the entrance to scavenge what ammunition or spare weapons from the guards he could; after all a stub pistol wouldn't cut it on the outside for long, before reporting to Bruce officially, "Sarge, given the noise we should be moving on. Burning the.. Deceased, yes, but no longer." Rex sucked at his teeth, a twang of guilt rippling through him at being so vague about those who had died.

Outside the group attended a small vigil, before burning the fallen. The killers were left outside, without being burned, a message to anyone who may try and pursue the group.

They survivors moved to the older PDF base without further issue. Inside, after a more extensive search (uninterrupted by explosions) they found some food and water, but scant little else. There was a vox unit, but it appeared broken. Fortunately they found a few microbeads, which were in working order.

The armoury, downstairs, was relatively intact, but locked up tight. Without explosives or the correct passkey to get in, the survivors were unable to access the weapons inside.

''Alright, guys. One Eye, Alexis, I want you two on the second floor. We've still got some of those bastard things roaming close by out there. I suggest we remove them, and try to keep the front clear. We also need to go on a scavenging run again, we didn't get as much food as I'd hoped last time. So, who's going to help?'' Bruce asked.

''I need two teams, who's up for it?''

    1. To clear the front area of the undead.
    2. To make a scavenging run to the nearest houses.

[Added 10x water/10x food, 3x microbeads to survivor inventory (giving Bruce one, leaves two leftover) - the beads will be used by one other person on an outward journey, and one person at base, so will move depending on what's going on.]

"I could help clearing, I am a skilled soldier, Sir." Andreas said, readying his Las Carbine.

"I'll go get us some more grub to eat. " Brick shrugged and shouldered his backpack forward, expression dimmer than usual as he checked his weapons were in working order. With luck, or without depending on who viewed it, they would run into more of those bandits.
