Showing off your army is a big part of 40k ("good job thinning your paints" and etc), and it'd help cosmetics be more noticeable/showoffable. Could be nice to position them based on awards/contributions to the game.
Is there something similar in Overwatch? I didn't play it but I think I saw something like that. Might be a cool feature, but is it necessary? Also I wonder how it would look like statistic-wise with abuse of power weapons and plasma cannons
and a the play of the game video at the end ?? (with the inevitable guy with a plasmacannon shooting a charged ball in the spawn of the enemy)
I was thinking more similar to smash (which is heavy on the "these are toys/models of your favorite nintendo characters come to life), but Overwatch has a similar screen. You can also find additional victory poses in overwatch loot boxes, which might also be a good way to fill up the eternal loot boxes with goodies or get some neat stuff for the store.
No I reckon a Call of Duty/Overwatch screen of watching the last kill/most kills wouldn't be necessary or even great, this isn't a highly limited team base shooter. If you had the top 5 players being showcased like Rainbow Six Siege does it could be done well. I'd prefer if it wasn't done like Overwatch with different animations that can be obtained in crates. Instead of getting useful (not really) gear in boxes there could be redundant and completely useless animation that show off your character to a bunch of randoms in a video game which no one will truly care about. A simple nod to the best players is fine, like Rainbow Six Siege. Also on the poll I accidentally voted "Yes" instead of "Yes, but only the winners"
Uhhh... I think that this is not a good idea anymore. Lootboxes should be only for good and usefull stuff, not such bullshit. It's grimdark 40k after all, not fancy pancy game
Would be kind of fancy I guess, but then again, it would be a real clusterfuck. There is a difference for when you need to feature 6 characters and 30.
