The Descent To Arkhona Fan Fiction Competition

    Write a short story based on the descent to Arkhona and you
    could win 1 of 3 prize packs!
    We’re asking Crusaders to pen a short story based on the descent to Arkhona, war preparations on your ship, and the journey through the warp for a chance to win 1 of 3 prize packs.​
    All stories will be judged by Behaviour Interactive, and five finalists will be selected. Graham McNeill, award-winning Warhammer 40,000 novelist will select the top three winners.​
    Requirements:
    Use one of the three starting options listed below (optional); after that, stories must be original, no longer than 2,500 words (not including the intro) , written in English, and submitted to eternalcrusade.contests@bhvr.com no later than August 25th, 2014 at 11:59pm EDT. Accepted formats include: .doc, .docx, .pdf, and .txt with one entry maximum per person. All entries should conform to a PG-17 rating please.​
    Options:

    2) A seasoned veteran of ___________, ___________ had recently received word that ______ _______ was being deployed to the Kharon system… next stop? Arkhona.​

    [Note: Blank spaces should be filled in with 1 or more words; you’re not required to simply limit it to 1 word per blank space.]​

    Contest is open from July 25 – August 25, 2014. In order to qualify, participants must submit their short story to eternalcrusade.contests@bhvr.com no later than August 25th, 2014 at 11:59pm EDT. Stories longer than 2,500 words will automatically be disqualified, or those of pornographic nature. Stories must be written in English, and submitted as either of the following formats: .doc, .docx, .pdf, and .txt. Stories will be judged by Behaviour Interactive and five finalists will be selected. Graham McNeill will select the three winners. Contest is open to participants world-wide and winners must provide a shipping address to receive their prizes.     FAQ
    1. Can I write about any faction? - Please write about 1 or more of the factions from the game: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, or Orks. You can also include Tyranids if you like.
    2. Do I have to include one of the 3 openings? - No, you can write your own, or choose to begin your story with one of the above three options.
    3. Can I use the Black Templars, Imperial Guards, Planetary Defense Force, Sisters of Battle, My own Space Marine Chapter, et al. in my story? - If it isn't an announced group that is in Eternal Crusade, please don't use it.
