With the resistance dead, the Corsairs moved further forward. No more Orks were found, but with Orks an entire horde could appear at any moment. Lord Vandias spotted the target building ahead. ''There is our summoning location,'' Lord Vandias said. ''Come, we move!''
The Plague Marines sprinted forward at full pelt, stopping for nothing as they simply intended to bull rush any Orks that crossed their path out of their way so they could secure the entrance to the building. Barring something like a tank or Squiggoth the Plague Marines reach the building entrance and dig in. Gelon bracing his heavy bolter to cover the rest while Orghast peers inside the building and Kordius covers them both.
Reaching the summoning building just behind the Nurgleites, Alviss stomps right up to the door. His servo-arms reach out and tear into the metal, pulling the door from the frame. Throwing the mangled hunk of scrap aside the Warpsmith advances into the room.
The room inside was empty. ''Look around, let's ensure we have no company here,'' Vandias said. ''Warpsmith, do what you can to seal this room. Men, I want gunners in every window.''
"Gelon I want you aiming out the window facing down the road nearest to the Fort's gate, I suspect most of them will come from there. Kordius we're on reserve, bolster the line wherever resistance is heaviest. Both of you make liberal use of your Blight Grenades if it seems reasonable. Weapons ready Maggot-Kin, we shall do Father Nurgle proud. The Orks will rot well. " The three locked weapons and bowed their heads a moment, reciting a gurgling chant that filled the area with the sound of buzzing flies, most of which were actually real as Orghast dark cloud, grown fat and numerous off all the Orks, flooded into the room and whirled about him.
--Elsewhere-- ''Boss, der's some fightin' doin' on out dere!'' ''Fightin, in my Orkhold?'' the warboss asked. ''Da spikey humies is 'ere.'' ''GAH! I want dem dead. Get da boyz, get all day boyz! Bring all da dakka you can, and kill dem gits.''
Rather than sealing the door off completely Alviss turns it into a choke point. Reinforcing the walls around it and building barriers on either side. Guilliman he orders up onto the ceiling, the servitor's metal limbs piercing the walls and allowing him an unobstructed shot on the door. OOC I'm assuming he had some scrap to work with, and with that im out for the night
As atlas enterd the summoning room he could see everyone was getting in a postion for a deffence. atlas decided to take cover near some crates near the plague marines.
his position would not be ideal as a defencive shooter, so he just whent to stand near the gate that the orks would breach soon, also reloading his gun, he would soon need to use its other ammo type since he was running low on the big bolts the gun used.
The Daemon skulked around the room, checking for any secret entrances. Placing every hope on the Orks attacking only through the door was foolish at best. When it came to war, Greenskins were in the close second place to the Khornate warriors. They are going to come in from the door, from the roof, from the windows, they will even try to open a new "doors" in the wall. The battle will be fierce and so far, this Dark Apostle didn't instil much confidence. Even the Chaos Lord killed few Orks while the Lorgar boy only sat back and watched the carnage. Karg-zar smiled. The Chaos doesn't need weak servants like that. Once the ritual is completed he will be in his weakest state and the fool will answer for his laxity.
