"What seems to be the problem, boss?" Phoenix spoke up from the backseat as she was otherwise engaged in look out of the window, trying her best not to even so much as acknowledge the presence of Mystic in the front seat. Sure, he was likely pretty grumpy about having a nephew to pick up but at least it wasn't a major, turns a good day into a horrible one like say having to go back to work cause she had to do a horrible case like Arson or Murder and apparently she was the only one around to handle it.

What they saw made Colony stop and think for a moment. The individual spider minds had to convene as they analysed the situation, slightly aggravated by the fact that Samsa lacked a lot of eyes that a dissolved Colony would possess. Much like the lack of web, or the use of voice and hearing instead of telepathy for digital communication. The price they paid for camouflage...

Sheila Samsa tapped her chin with a finger before nodding to herself as a subconscious manifestation of Colony's consensus. The woman called out to the human male that had entered - "Hello? Please, could you help me-" she shook her head and adopted a more desperate tone and face. "help me?! My..." Colony mentally regarded their body. "little brother's run off, and he went this way! P-please, can you help me look for him?"

A trite stereotype, but they figured it'd happen often enough.

After the brief business of getting down to the the street leave via a boring and long elevator ride down he went out the front door of the building to be greeted by his limo being driven by Geoffrey. Once he was properly seated his butler hit the accelerator and got on the road. The drive through the streets of Novus brought sights of holographic signs and busy groups of people walking around on the side walks. The occasional hover car or bike zoomed by overhead completely negating the traffic. After a few more minutes of traffic and navigating the city Warden arrived at city hall. Tourists and field trips from local schools made their way up and down the marble steps as they either entered or exited the huge building. While the event he was invited to was private the building itself was open to the public twenty-four-seven.

The kid inched towards the offered sandwich snatching it from Serpent's hand and moving back away. They then inspected the sandwich for a moment once they gave it a good look over they took a bite out of it and quickly chewed and swallowed. They still haven't spoken a word and quite frankly Serpent can't even see if it's a boy or a girl thanks to their clothing covering their face, probably because of how cold the city got at night. The child soon finished the sandwich and placed their right hand to their mouth and let their forearm fall forward. Once completing the gesture they ran off into the tunnels.

Hallow searched through the streets following the graffiti as they increased in frequency. They seemed to be pointing to a public housing building with a chain link fence around the perimeter. Clearly taken over by the gangs the old signs were painted over by the green Jack o lanterns whether or not it was just a change in iconography for the current gang or another had taken over was hard to say but she knows where they are now.

The Prophet would awake to blinding light being shined into his face. He had been captured while attempting to steal the Liber Umbrarum. He came very close but in the end the beast guarding the book was too much for the unprepared cult and the Shadow Watchers simply had to move in and mop them up. Now he finds himself and presumably the surviving cultists in their custody. "Do not move I'm going to ask you a few questions." While he was blinded by the light Prophet could remember the voice beloning to the high acolyte from inside the tomb. They most likely still wore the advanced combat armor as the helmet distorted their voice whether or not they were the only other person in the room was unclear. "First question, state your name, age, and amount of time you have known about the void."(will continue conversation in pm)

The man turned around the colony's words making him look concerned and approached her. "Hey calm down I'll call up security and we can go look for him just stay here for a second while I go find someone from security." He said before turning his back to her and heading back into the storage room to get someone. A minute or two later he came back with a man in a security uniform. "Alright young lady can you tell us your brother's name and where he was last? After that we're going to bring you up to the security desk so we can bring him back to you." He said in a kind tone.

Morph sighed at the two agent's asking what's wrong. "It's just that this isn't the first time ove had to do this. My Nephew is a good kid, granted a bit antisocial and likes to be alone more than trying to make friends but still a good kid. Doesn't smoke doesn't drink hell he doesn't even swear and yet his best friend seems to be one of the most annoying delinquents I've ever seen. Always getting him into things like this story goes she doesn't come back home one night or something and he goes out looking for her god knows where until he calls his parents who come and pick him up. In fact they're usual the ones that pick him up from these little escapades but my sister's car is in the shop and my brother in law is on the other side of Novus on business. So here I am driving through the country side with an agent that volunteered to see Craveloft manner and a woman that doesn't know the meaning of leaving somethings unsaid to pick up my Nephew and his horrible influence of a best friend. I'm glad he's ok but this is the first time he didn't come back the same night and they ended in Craveloft manner of all places! I mean honestly how does that even happen? Little delinquent girl gets to stay a night at one of the largest mansions in Novus and somehow my poor nephew got roped into this. My sister said he sounded fine in the call but I swear if that girl got him into trouble." He would continue to rant for some time as they drove until he could see the manner walls. "Alright looks like we're here." He said as he pulled by the main gate noticing a certain car pulling up from the other lane. "Wizbang? Gorgon?" Asked confused.

Wizbang drove down the road with Gorgon running along side the road inbred dirt as to not damage the road. The old man had a sudden burst of either genius of madness and used an old spell to help find the robber. Whatever he did he said the robber was somewhere in Craveloft manner. "Hey metal man Morph's here too!" He yelled out the window as he came to a stop. As soon as he stopped Morph rolled down the window on his car and yelled over to Wizbang. "The hell you two doing here?" "Following a lead on the bank robber he's supposedly somewhere inside this fine place." "Huh, well my nephew is in there so keep your guns to yourselves until I get him out of there." "But of course sir I wouldn't dare put any members of your family in danger." With that they both pulled through the gate along with Gorgon following on foot.

Meanwhile Nightmare followed Rico and Alexis outside to see two cars pulling up. "Huh my mom didn't say he would be bringing someone else with him. Were you expecting more guests?" Rico asked as he moved down the steps Alexis close behind. She was still around the same height as an average woman but she was actually wearing clothes and appeared to no longer have a tail. She wore baggy jeans and black boots that didn't show any of her more inhuman features. On the top half of her body she wore the same grey hoodie Rico wore the dark before with a scarf hiding her face. The outfits's purpose seemed to be hiding her appearance in a way to make her look like a normal human even if she moved a lot more gracefully than most would expect from a human. Rico himself was wearing the same jeans and black tennis shoes but without his hoodie with just the plain t-shirt that was underneath. The cars came to a stop and Morph exited the car quickly went over to Rico as he got off the stairs. "Uh hi uncle....." He said a bit awkwardly before Morph hugged him. "Dammit Thomas you had your parents and I worried half to death. How the hell did you get here!?" Morph said before letting go. "It's.... an intresting story." "Is it because of the one standing behind you?" Morph said bluntly. "Yes....." Morph glared at Alexis who seemed to shrink under the man's ire. "But someone needed to find her and she doesn't have anyone else." "We're not having this argument right now just get in the car." With that the couple moves over to the car entering on the side Phoenix wasn't one with Alexis going in first. "Oh hello again." Rico said to Phoenix.

Morph looked over to Nightmare after Rico and Alexis made their way over to the car. "Now I just want to be clear here. They didn't come in here and try to break or steal anything right? Because if they did I couldn't apologize enough my nephew is a good kid it's just that I think that girl has a negative influence on him. But irregardless thank you for letting him stay the night here. And because I'm greatful im just going to give you a quick rundown here." He turned and pointed at Wizbang's car. "The man in that car and the big robot man are here looking for a bank robber and they say they're following a lead on it here. Now I don't know if that means they actually think he's here or just wanted an excuse to get into a nice place like you home but those two are probably the most violent WBSA agents on Novus at the moment and I don't want the headlines to say they burned down Craveloft manner. So just let them look around the house and they'll be on their way I doubt you have anything suspicious around here anyways."

Meanwhile after getting the guard dogs into the kennels the handlers informed Bloodbath that they needed to get back into the guest house immediately under Nightmare's orders. The handlers were relatively calm in their actions but had a certain amount of caution around the giant blob of blood and assorted human bones. Elsewhere Mimic had been sat down with his belonging after his car was put into the underground garage. "Can we get your reasons for coming to the manner today?" A man with a clipboard asked. "Because one doesn't simply pop in on one of the founding families of Novus."

Gabriels eyes glanced left and right, trying to make out the persons in the dark. Images of guns pointed at him flashed up in his head. He thougth he could displace a bullet in flight, but only under specific circumstances. Like knowing from where it would be fired or the specific timing. Two would be more or less impossible even under perfect conditions. There were some spots of hope, namely the lightbulb and the fact that the spokeswoman was in his range. Talking his way out of this seemed to be the preferable way. On the other hand the leader seemed to be annoying confident in her position. Well, she won´t listen to any elaborate reasonings, so better make it short.
Gabriel held up his left hand with two fingers stretched out. The watch on his wrist glittered in the light.

"Two questions: First: Did you spot any backup of mine? Maybe with that twee drone of yours?
Second: You realize that I just walked in? In a building I knew you were waiting for me?"

He lowered his hands and awaited the response. Sitting down could have increased the dramatic effect of his words, but would severly limit his options if he had resort to violence.
  5. Mystic sat in the car still, in the front seat. As Rico sits down in the car she turns her head, the mask facing towards Rico and Alexis, tilting a little.
"Two adults entered the veichle... hmm, interesting."
The mask slides from one to the other, while the "clawed" glove strokes over the mask, seemingly thinking.
"You two share a bond, such is certain... and also share a dark past. I feel for you"
She reaches out, letting her hand slide over Ricos cheek, if it was a caring move... or just Mystic being Mystic... is hard to say.

Hallow smiles as she glides underground towards the public housing building, still keeping herself underground or in the walls, to avoid detetion, while she searches for the biggest cluster of the Gangmembers. Like a dining hall, a meeting room, a chilling room... anything really. She is thinking at the same time what to do with these... "posers". Should she let them use her symbol... or should she punish them for taking what was hers?

"I am a writer for The People's Mail. With the event this evening, I thought it only fitting to speak with one of the great founding families of Novus prior to the event." Trent thought for a second before continuing, "As well as a... Business dealing... Of the less than legal kind." placing a hand on the duffle bag he carried with him. "I recently came into a large sum of money... And I'm looking for a way to... 'Invest' it. It's nearly useless to me how it is currently." He was unsure of how he should proceed beyond this, and just sat waiting for the response.
  7. The crimson creature would look toward these enforcers of the Craveloft fellow. It would turn to look toward the dogs being safely escorted to their kennels before refocusing it's attention on the people in front of it. Didn't take long for Craveloft to start giving orders already, it didn't even get the Oppenheimer Chromosomes yet as per their agreement. He growled toward the two, "I'm...not...a slave...to Craveloft" it hissed, "working...with him...NOT...for him..." The dogs at this time were already in their Kennels, and there wasn't much of a point for it to be standing out in the open anyway. But it wouldn't let Craveloft think it could just be so easily controlled like some simple minded Beast. The sanguinary monster said no more to Craveloft's thugs and simply moved itself to inside the guest house.

It was surprised by it's own actions back there. Something as simple as playing with a bunch of dogs brought with it a flood of memories of a life long forgotten. It's mind was still shattered and broken, its thoughts hazy at best, all it knew was that it wanted Oppenheimer Chromosomes for...a reason and a purpose that was lost to it at this time. They were key to everything, that's all it knew. Whatever that meant, the beast did not know for certain. It paced through out the guest house, lost in it's own thoughts. It took out the silver locket periodically, hoping such a simple trinket can provide it the answers it desperately tried to sought out. Only for nothing to come to mind each time it did so, much to it's dismay.

Serpent remained in his crouched stance as the kid ate. He tilted his head curious to the kid's gesture and watched him run away. With a sigh he stood up and picked up the bags.
Guess I'll drop these off at the nearest shelter and head home.
He thought to himself and shuffled out of the sewers. One bag he gave to an orphanage and other he dropped at a homeless shelter.
On his walk home he passed by a pub. At first he thought he'd stop there for a pint but when he saw his reflection in the window decided against it. He always had had a dream of owning his own place. Even made some plans for it before he mutated, something to replace his army life, to have more time with Laura and family. That all was forgotten once he did mutate, replaced by other pressing matters, like employment and trying to find reason in it all. His ex girlfriend's memory made his gut churn and a pang of shame washed over him.
The whole way back to his apartment he ruminated on the thought of his own bar.

Once home, he turned on the stereo, made a large dinner for himself and browsed for property to buy for his bar on his computer. Sending inquiries by email and leaving call requests for properties he deemed worthy. All to do was wait.
Despite the pain of today's training, framed for bank robbery and his rather lack luster success of charity, he was smiling. His new body actually felt great. Never before had he felt this healthy and strong (without taking the injuries of today into consideration). Now he had plans for his future too.
Genuinely, he was excited for something in his life after a long while and he even felt a bit...happy.
  9. "Oh no no no, They didn't do anything like that. I simply invited them to stay over for the night after meeting them back in the city. She doesn't seem to be as bad as you think honestly." Jonathan said to clear up any confusion as to why Rico and Alexis was here. With the way Rico's uncle treated his friend, he could see what rico had said were no exaggeration at this point. Trying to brush aside any feeling of disdain for the all too familiar actions before continuing to speak with the WBSA officer. Weighing the options and pros and cons of the situation, he felt as if keeping around whoever just showed up is going to be detrimental to him at this rate. If the two in the car were supers, there wasn't much he could do to actually stop them in the here and now even if he could sue later. Perhaps cooperation is better than trying to get an upper hand here. "Hm, what a strange coincidence, we just received an odd visitor just recently. The guards detained him due to questionable reasons as to why he even showed up here. I could have them bring him out here for you to questioned, for I rather hate to see what several pounds of stomping metal is going to do to the tiles just past the front door...." he said, more truthful than usual. Mother would try to have their heads on pikes if that happened. "Jenkins! Go fetch our earlier guest, I think the good officers here has some questions for him. Make sure to bring all of his belongings as well." he told one of the nearby guards, making it clear they weren't to keep anything they found on the guy. "Chop! Chop!"

With Rico and someone whom she guessed was Rico's friend in the car, Elly then said to him. "I remember you.... Did one of your friends try erasing my memories of you?" Needless to say, she hoped that got the point across politely, given that she didn't want to step on the still soulless person in the car and someone who seemed to be his friend. With that said, she then got out of the car and headed over to the entrance of the Craveloft manor, stopping by Morph to say "If you'd mind boss, I'd like to take a look around considering one of my books went missing.... And it's the sort of book that would most appeal to people like the Cravelofts."
