Zin, meanwhile, emerged from the cover she had hid behind, and watched Kina go to work on the door. Normally, when on a mission, she would be quite gabby with her mistress and commandress, but the presence of mistrusted strangers stayed her tongue. Instead, the diminuitive plant-lady simply carried her blaster at the ready, and glared at the mando with a measure of dislike.
Rtora could have used every opportunity to spring into action. He didn't want to spill blood and in the moment's hesitation there was already death. He scolded himself for freezing up on a crucial moment. Rtora checked his weapons and made sure his blaster was on stun. As he moved after his part of the team, he avoided looking at the corpse. At least their captain seemed to know her stuff pretty well, she didn't seem like a needlessly abrasive personality either. It brought him a small measure of comfort.
The Mandalorian simply stared right back at the Zelosian now, his shoulders relaxing briefly. He didn't do much as he made his way to follow the Captain - his final 'words' if you'd like being a nod of acknowledgement to her. Why th' hell's she looking at me like I'm a Hutt? He wondered. ...Ah, probly nothing. @Casavay
Once the team was ready to move again they huddled around the doorway into the base proper. The grey slab door slid open with a resounding clunk. Before anyway could make their way through towards their designated targets a hulking form blocked their path. A BX commando droid stared quizzically at the group, for anyone that paid attention, they would notice the droid holding a mop and bucket. "Greetings unfamiliar organic individuals. This unit has been ordered to see to the cleaning of the garage bay. Please pass through the door or step aside so that this unit can proceed with its onerous tasks."
Upon seeing the droid blocking their path, Fritz couldn't help but feel a moment of joy. Looks like he'd be able to make some extra credits from this whole ordeal after all. "Ah good, you make Fritz good credits, yes. Hold still for Fritz, please" the anxious little Jawa stated rather plainly as he rose up his ion gun and took a shot in an attempt to stun the droid. It was about time he was able to collect his share of droids he was promised from this mission.
Fritz raised the ionization gun, pulling the trigger. Hitting the BX unit square in the chest. The stunning bolt causing a jolt through the ancient commando unit. The lenses went dark for a few seconds before coming back to life. Within seconds of the lenses lighting up the BX unit swung the mop at the diminutive Jawa, the effects of the shot causing the swing to be choppy and jittery. The swing was easily avoided by Fritz. It would seem the BX unit was tougher than the sentries they just dispatched moments earlier.
Fritz was caught off guard for a moment. He looked down at his ion gun after sidestepping the mop, trying to see if something was wrong with it. "Huh, usually this works for Fritz" the little Jawa stated, raising the ion gun yet again to take another shot at the mop wielding droid. Hopefully he'd get better results this time then what he was currently experiencing. Fritz really didn't need to waste more time then he was now currently using dealing with a frantic droid janitor.
Firing again on the BX unit was too easy while it's systems attempted to recover from the first shot. The shot locked up the droid causing it to collapse with a metallic thud. The lenses were still lit up, obviously still receiving power, but the droid was unable to do much more than twitch as it appeared to be attempting to right itself. Fritz could easily see the restraining bolt that the Imperials had attached to it, in the short time he had he could remove theirs or attempt to install his own and run a risk of frying the system further.... or he could just blast it again.
The Zelosian met the mando's gaze, replying to his nod with a scowl. She broke off the eye contact when they met the droid, and instead focused on the mop-bearer, immediately aiming her gun at the poor cleaning detail as a twitch reaction, though she relaxed her tension (as much as the jumpy plant could) when she saw Fritz' interactions with it. A bit nonplussed by the sudden turn of events, the scoundrel watched her teammate's Jawa way while slowly walking inside, a bit ahead of her team.
Kina stepped past the others and into the base, casting a look around the corridors before she beckoned the rest of them in. She touched the Zelosian's shoulder, in fact grabbed it, and turned her. "Don't take any risks you can spare, teeubo. You're our ticket out," she said quietly, offering the Zelosian a small smile, before she released the woman and hardened, looking to the others. "All right," she whispered urgently. "B2, Valrin, let's create noise. The rest of you --- through there," she said, and pointed down the corridor. "First door on your right, then follow the corridor until you see the exit to the shuttle pad," she said, before she started going in the opposite direction, urging everyone to hurry! Team Grab (of Smash and Grab) @Vlayden @bossaroo Kina darted ahead, taking a left into the main corridor running through the base! If unchallenged, she'd flatten herself against a wall opposite the officer's offices, if not, she'd have to think on her feet. But that was a talent of hers.
