World of Warcraft. A game that changed the MMO industry forever.

A beast that lost its soul along with its players by the end of the original version. A game that has died a horrible and lingering death at the end of the Wrath of the Lich King and has staggered on, slowly losing its player base ever since. Let us here, remember the good, the grind, and the soulcrushing madness that is wow as it slowly slips into oblivion.

My fellow , Demetri I bid thy shed no tears for the death that is wow. It has been the end of many a decent mmo for decades when wow slips into oblivion ( hopefully before EC gets online but not before it sinks ESO ) I will merrily dance on its grave. The death of wow will bring about a new era of prosperity to the internet or the age of oblivion when wow no longer crushes foolish projects. Will it be the death of the demon or the fall of baldur ? ( for those who don't know baldur is a character in Norse mythology who essentially holds back all monstrous demons who try to get through his gate in Norse mythology Loki murders him starting the apocalypse )

The game has another 5 years guaranteed in its path, and even then i dont think it will die out as it moves perhaps to F2p so it can sustain it self for another decade or something.

  5. Its basically CoD of the MMO industry.

Even if it lost several millions of players during the upcoming 2 or 3 years it is still viable, they just merge servers and shut some down.

But that is not the worst part, if they then go full blown F2p and power up their cash shop to overdrive, we might see it sustained for many years to come.

Its already f2p up to a certain lvl, and they have a cash shop, you can even buy a lvl 90 boost for your character for 60 bucks, yes you buy for 60 dollars to become lvl 90 immediately.

This is insanity. If anything like that would happen to EC I would rather see the game purged from the internet and than see that abomination of pay to win on EC. Devs we task upon you the act if learning from where others have failed. If you succeed you will bring gaming and 40k into a new era if you fail 40k may be wiped from the gaming scene as a whole. No pressure you guys got this one I believe in you all.
