Boethiah, Azura, and Mephala are associated with the Dunmer. Boethiah is considered the prime diety of the Dunmer pantheon (out of the daedra), which puts them at odds with Molag Bal. Boethiah is about mocking authority - Molag Bal is about asserting authority over others. The two are natural enemies. House Telvanni was apparently pretty active in defending the world during the Oblivion Crisis, so it's safe to assume that the Dunmer do indeed stand up against world-threatening daedric lords.
