*in a low whisper only audible in the comms* "lying to them like that might not be a good way to get on their good side lad..... rest of ya stay in the brush just in case" *now in a normal level voice* "so what happened again? your geller field fell? in the warp? that must've been bad..... wheres the rest of your crew? they need help too, or are you the only survivors?"
"As much as we know five Valkyries made planetfall, we were the second group to depart. As you can see we count ten, no casualty so far. The Wildlife seems quite afraid of our Las Fire." The man reported, obviously trying to push off the memories.
"Valkyries? so your ship broke up in orbit? or is it in the warp, sorry for bringing up bad memories but i need to know..."
"Captain gave self-destruction command short after the evac order was given.... We were simply lucky enough to had been stationed near the Hangars...." He sighed and looked at the ground, the comrades of his pretty much behaving the same way.
"Not at all, we have no contact. But...." He gestured to a soldier to give him something and soon he had a data-slate in his hand, which he handed further to their rescuer. "Scan for those codes, you should be able to pick up the Valkyrie signatures with your ship from orbit."
*he gave a clicking sound from this throat, which simply sounded odd to the survivor, but to the hidden part of the squad it meant watch out for anything off* *taking the data slate* "ill have to ask my captain before i can send data to the ship, cant trust everything into our cogitators you understand.... excuse me a moment" *nodding to Copper to keep them occupied while he walked off to vox Niner* "sir, we found about 10 of the survivors, they say there are 4 other valkyries worth of others out somewhere, and gave me a dataslate with some info saying we can use it to track the valkyrie signatures.... send the data or no?"
"Try sending it to our head pilot jim he should be air and will give you air support if you need it."
"roger that, sending now" "Jim, you there? got some data to send you, need you to track some signatures for us"
Kleck snorted at the sight of such creatures, their scales would ideally serve to strengthen their own hides whether through genetic integration or by simply skinning them. They waited in the trees above for the reptiles to approach closer, Kleck leading the ambush as the large Carnivore hurled himself from the trees to engage the forward warrior, leaving his hounds below who sprung from the bushes to deal with the scout, the rest of his pack sprung out quickly afterwards to enter the fray.
