I know there's other sections, but if they include the Tau, put in the Farsight Enclaves. Because Farsight is a badass, and those Farsight enclave tau train in close combat too(at least to the fluff) Perhaps a close combat bonus to them, but at a cost to something at their weapons?
play as Tau can be a lot of fun fighting in one of the BattleSuits or driving one of the Hammerhead Gunship I hope you will add them to the Eternal Crusaders after the launch
Crisis suits! I'd love and hate to see them on the battlefield. The suits are impressive, fearsome war machines.
Yes, I look forward to playing as the Tau, but I really do hope they will include Bork'An. And what about the XV104 Riptide suit? but I do also hope they will include Vespid and Kroot at the very least.
I dont think you could try and reason Farsight Enclaves into the game because of Melee. First off they are still Tau, thus they will always suck at melee lol. Secondly by saying you should include them because of their melee potential (refer to first point again) you are implying that the other 4 septs that would be included in a Faction launch will have no melee potential. So now everyone who wants to do close combat has to play Farsight? What about new to 40k players who dont know the difference and get stuck in the wrong sept? I agree Farsight Enclaves should be included as one of the septs, ive reasoned how it could be done a few times and can repost/link if your curious. But if Tau are going to be released as a full Faction then it needs to be balanced properly as a full Faction. Certain balance, such as in a class tree type department is a must. Also, i say yes to Riptide (heavy armour, compaires to Wraithknight, Land Raider, etc) and no to Kroot or Vespids. Add them later, maybe. But i would rather have the Tau full fleshed out in all of their roles and abilites then a dev going: "We need a close combat guy" "meh, let just throw kroot in" or "We need a flyer/jump guy" "Vespid would work better for this! Who needs crisis suits?!" lol
I agree no Vespids, there are many crisis suits that can take role of jump units XV8 Crisis Battlesuit or Stealth Battlesuit, and for heavy they can put Hazard Close Support Armour or XV104 Riptide. And Kroot can be melee units
I agree, but than I would hope that Crisis suits are ''easily accessible'' cause, we do need to be on par with the marines regarding fire power, and we all know T'au rely heavily on Battlesuits for this. so you guys think Battlesuits should be classes? or should they be an entire new section of their own? (since I don't think you can classify them as vehicles, because I am fairly certain those will be Hammerhead Gunships and hopefully Skyrays, although those are mainly AA purpose, I think like in the DoW games they can also easily be reconfigured to become artillery pieces. as for the matter of mercs, I can find myself in no vespids, but they deffo need Kroot, otherwise T'au will simply get raped by Assualt Marines/Raptors.
I hope crisis suits to be easily accessible, Kroot would be be good fighters for close combat and if I'm not mistaken Kroot can evolve in dependence of whose meat they eat, it can be interesting option for Kroot players. Tau crisis Suits can have a different military equipment depending on the model.
I for one would love to see Tau in the game (I would never play them mind you), I think they have a great army dynamic and would add a pretty cool distinction in tactics. An added bonus would be chopping up blue gooies in H2H
