I don't need to go into how melee is kind of a pain in the ass for anyone not playing melee because that's been covered so many times already. My suggestion to make it less of a pain would be for the rest of the playerbase to at least be able to dodge more than two times before it's off to the slaughter. The other option would be to make melee consume stamina so melee players would be a little more conservative with their swinging. Keeping stamina and making melee consume it would probably be the most interesting but would probably be tricky to balance. Your thoughts? EDIT: Another suggestion would be that being attacked in melee shouldn't block you from using your gun...
This has been proposed many times before, I belive it was even implemented at some point, but it realy doesn't work. The issue is that the instability and the inbalance of the game makes it incredibly frustrating most of the time.
I think the role needs altering a little bit to make it a bit easier to survive in melee, if we remove the stamina to role then I imagine melee with abuse it, especially some of the Eldar melee classes with there really quick dodge.
TBH I want to be able to go toe to toe vs melee as Tact, not play the same game but roll for longer. That means a durability fix.
I think stamina would be better used for sprinting and the ability to attack/roll does not cost stamina as to many melee fights are basically dbash and rolling until one side runs out of stamina
i say yes melee should cost stamina and equipment with bonus stamina should give more time before depleting the melee attack bar and introduce also Strength stat , to deliver stronger attack and be less blockable, so players could choose if be less resistant but stronger OR less stronger but more enduring in combat with more stamina
I agree that sprinting should reduce stamina (although not drastically since...well i dunno, how far could a post-human supersoldier or a 2-hearted greenskin run?). But no dude, if u make rolls stamina-free thats gonna turn melee into a shitshow with people rolling and rollin and ROLLINROLLINROLLINGROLLIN
