I wonder if having a pay once, then cash shop system is truly going to cover the ongoing cost of all the servers, development and general maintenance and content development? I suppose post-launch content would be paid, which would probably cover those costs. What about the other things?
Surely they must be in your nearest book store, WHSmith, Waterstones, or maybe even at Games Workshop? If not you can purchase from the offical website http://www.blacklibrary.com/ Or you can borrow a book from your local library, my library had a couple of WH40k books.
I will stop by the main library and check it out they most have at least a few of them there, otherwise ill stop by in the second biggest city, i know of a shop which sells books like Halo, Starcraft lore books so i willc heckt hat place as well, if all else fails. Thank you for the site by the way, really feeling a great vibe in this community when everyone has liking towards one and the same thing.
I really want this to be a buy once model. Like GW2. Making Orks the F2P class is an interesting idea. It draws players in to see what the game is about and whether or not they want to upgrade. There are negatives to this however. Either people will be enticed by the awesomeness of the game, or they will rage quit from being curb stomped as orks.
Indeed! I couldn't agree more! and also, no problem! yeah the ork thing is being discussed on another thread: http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/a-realistic-look-at-free-to-play-being-faction-limited.424/ You can join that discussion if you wish
it shouldnt be bad. Guild Wars has been using this model for a while. TSW changed to this model...its worked.
I watched an interview with a Dev and he emphasized the game being a PAY-ONCE subscription. Similar to guild wars with probable future DCL that can be paid for. He also made it clear that the orks will be a free to play race to make the ratio of players more realistic to the 40K universe. This sounds like a really cool idea and will make the horde of orks come to life!
Yeah sorry, locked that one temporary, I want to have the dev 'in' as I think it's and important discussion.
I really hope that it is premium and one time pay but I keep hearing it's not final. There is a chance of add on content that will cost money but I mean that's no problem.
