That sounds like a great idea. I'm sure you know TSW did the same thing. Although I hope you sell MUCH better than that game did. I love Steam, but I will by buying everything through you guys for sure.

I'm sure this game will have a ton of hype by the time it arrives. Not having it on Steam will force people to buy it from you. After everyone that knows about it has bought it, releasing it on Steam later will be basically an advertisement to all those who didn't hear about it. (Hopefully a small amount.)

I would like it to be on Steam. Although that would quadruple the Ork player base from all the people (me included) who hunt and search through Steam for all the cheap and free games they can find…

Nice! It's true that Steam "monopoly" makes damage to the developers, but in fact maybe that loss on revenue is preferable if the platform attracts more paying costumers. I don't want to be in the skin of the Dev that makes the decision :p

As awesome as Steam is, I'd prefer it if the game isn't on steam.

Steam charges a chunk of cash for the game to be hosted on their servers, it might bring them more people who see the game, however people like Totalbiscuit have already stated that they want to review the game when it comes out, so most likely it'll get the publicity it needs anyway, So i don't think there is much reason for the game to go on Steam, I'd prefer it if the money i spend goes directly to the Dev team of EC, not Steam.

Im not against going on Steam, but if you think their demands are too much,i will tell you,we dont need Steam.
Give us a good game, the fans will ensure it gets the attention it deserves.

I hope the game is on Steam, because normally I only play PC games if they exist on Steam.

But, in this case, I'll make an exception :D
  10. For once I would like to see a game that stands alone like they used to. Like when Gamespy was an option, instead now you have to have Steam, Origin, GFWL, or some other crap... I'd like it to just be an option or even if they used Xfire it would still provide the option and not a requirement.
