Steam Updating When Switching Between Servers

    Every single time I switch between the founders and live servers, I'm forced to update my game.

    If I play founders and then immediately switch to the Live server it'll say the Live servers are running on a newer version, it'll also say "Maintenance will happen in 10H 20M" This applies vice versa to going Live to Founders, though without the Maintenance message.

    Is this intentional? I'm not sure whether I'm wasting disk space updating when I want to switch between servers.

    Its generally around 256MB when going from Live>Founders
    465MB Founders>Live

    They run different versions of the game, so it makes sense that it needs to download it. Also, this kind of threads belong to Founder's Lounge.
