I have been getting this for a wile now and I tried rebooting, verifying files through steam and nothing is working. If you can help Please & Thank you.

If your starting the game with a shortcut on your desktop you may get that message. Have you tried launching the gamee through steam library ? I. Noticed a while ago i tried that to , but found out you can only launch the game through steam. Going direct to the steam installation folder and launching eternal crusade in there maybe the same as through the library. But it doesn't seem to like a launch from the desktop.

Same thing can happen if you right click the eternal crusade exe and click "run administrator". Steam dont like it , and you will get that message,if you have previously checked that box. Just another thing to take into consideration.
