"Ah, yes this is my wonderful FRAME! Its super duper dakka dakka, some much dakka you cant even handle it. It was created to be similar to the rest of my team, but they are cadavarific now, so I guess it would be pretty unique wouldn't it? What do you think Seryu?" The SOUL perked up and puffed out her chest with pride "The PRAETORIAN is filled with only the best weapons and is easily considerable highly awesome! Its guns are great at bringing BURNING JUSTICE to the villainous enemy! With its range and immense firepower, no evildoers will escape US!" The rider chortled good naturedly at his SOULs impassioned description, and turned to the crewmember. "What about you new friend? What's your FRAME like?"
< @WanderingJester > As Kelley entered the station, It lit up. *Beginning system checks... completed. Loading simulation FRAME program: VOID RIPTIDE... Completed. Loading Simulation...* The pod deposited him in a virtual cockpit of his FRAME. the screen was black as it loaded the simulation. *Completed* Suddenly he was thrust into the conflict that he had been studying, a rifle slug missing him by mere inches. His comm system roared to life. "Ah, Mr. Kelley. Nice of you to join me." As these words were finished, all the other FRAMES disappeared, except for a large, heavily plated Destroyer-type FRAME with a railcannon situated on each shoulder, and two more held underneath the arms. "Sergeant Gorgon, at your service. I have seen your record, and I was impressed. However, I judge my soldiers by what I see, not what I read." His voice sounded sly, as if he was hiding somthing [Enemy behind! Your SOUL senses it, dodge a sword slash and destroy the offender!] < @Xanxas > The whole comedy of this situation caused Yalei to burst out laughing. She silently gestured over to a stocky, grey FRAME with a shield generator on the wrist of each arm and a large Handgun in a holster on either hip. The handles of a Hard-light blade stuck out above the top of the back. "This is Iron Wall. A Bulwark-type FRAME. Not as spectacular as yours, I must admit, but I like it. And this," she added, indicating a casual-looking man on her shoulder " Is Mark. Say hello." "Hello, guys." He looked appraisingly at Seryu "Ya know, you're kinda cute."
Veronica popped an alert light on Kelley's heads up display, and that was enough for the talented rider to know something was up. Just as the sword swing came about, the thrusters on the Riptide's back activated quickly, boosting it forward just enough for the the blow to miss. Kelley swung the FRAME around, ducking as he did, and as it began its rotation a chain with spikes on it shot out of Void Riptide's right forarm. It straightened and the spikes connected, forming a straight blade as the FRAME finished its rotation halfway. The weapon cleaved its way through the enemy FRAME's waist behind Kelley, bisecting it. Kelley then turned back to Sergeant Gorgon with his destroyer with a rare smile. "Gladly."
Seryu grinned, graciously accepting the compliment. "Why thank you new friend! I look forward to fighting alongside you Allies of Justice!". Kyras hummed a bit whilst looking around, before finally returning his gaze to the Iron Wall's rider. "Soooooooooooo, any idea what I'm supposed to be doing? I kinda fell asleep en route and they all left me in the shuttle! Much sadness was had, but I'm sure you can help me new friend!"
< @WanderingJester > "Good." Was the simple reply, before a large amount of Generic Frames appeared around him. "Try this on for size, soldier." Gorgon called, starting the battle off with a quad-blast from his railcannons. [10 Rifleman, 10 Bladesman and Sergeant Gorgon. Destroy up to 5 enemies. Gorgon is boss, no strikes at him yet] < @Xanxas > "Well, I was told to report to the Training room once my FRAME was ready. You're welcome to follow me, if you'd like." She replied [If you go, emote you following Yalei to the training room.]
Void Riptide immediately grabbed one of the bladesman that lunged at it, and pulled the enemy as a shield in front of it. Instantly it was shot to pieces by the Rifleman FRAMEs, leaving the Riptide unscathed. Before it fall away though, Kelley was already moving. He closed the distance between the range attackers and Void Riptide, and before they can attempt another volley impaled the closest Rifleman through the middle with the straight sword on the Riptide's right forearm. Another Bladesman came with an attack, but never completed it as it got decapitated by Kelley. Void Riptide twisted the blade inside the other FRAME then sliced out the side. A waterfall of coolant liquid poured out the dead FRAME as the middle of it heated up. Void Riptide grabbed the FRAME with the overloading reactor and tossed it into the Rifleman group. The make shift bomb directly hit another Rifleman and blew up, taking another range FRAME with it and scattering the rest of the range attackers. By the time this happened, Void Riptide had already manuvered again, putting the Bladesmen between him and the group of remaining Rifleman as well as the Sergeant's destroyer FRAME.
"Ahaha! A destination! A Quest! Quickly Kyras, with me, for great justice!" As the SOUL ordered the scarab to surge forth, Kyras broke into a sprint, eager to meet his new teammates and train, as training meant fighting and fighting meant an excuse for moar dakka. He only paused for a second to yell over his shoulder at his new comrade to hurry up before speeding off. It was neck and neck, an undeclared and unofficial race between the befriender and the champion of JUSTICE. As Seryu and Kyras turned the last corner, the doors loomed directly in front of them. Seryu, simply being a hologram projected by a robo-bug, was able to have said SCARAB come to a quick halt. Kyras, being physical ended up getting in a fight with this asshat known as inertia, causing him to go head over heels as he tried to halt from a full sprint and inevitably rolled quite a distance before hitting something. This, he mused, was putting inertia on his shitlist, right up there with his arch-enemy gravity. Seryu's laughter wasn't helping his mood either. "Anyways" she exclaimed "I am the only one standing thus I am the winner, and dedicate this competition to justice." Kyras's eternal smile seemed a bit strained for a second, before it returned to normal as he replied "You are floating. It doesn't count". Seryu smirked in a rather smug manner "I revised the rulebook last night. Now it does". Kyras's smile became a bit exasperated but he sighed and conceded "Very well, but inertia is hax and you know it. Regardless, we are here, so now what?"
< @Xanxas > Yalei came jogging around the corner behind them, stopped with wide eyes, and laughed at the absurdity of the situation. Mark sat relaxed on her shoulder lounging back. "Well what we do is... um?" She began as they walked into the Training room. "Hello, Ms. Miribo, Mr.Arcadia. Your FRAME simulations have been loaded into Pods Eight and five, respectively. Please go ahead and enter." With that, Yalei bid to Kyras "Well, I will se you in there." she said, stepping into Pod eight. [Enter the simulation, Take out up to 4 enemies and either take a shot at the sergeant or rescue Kelley] < @WanderingJester > "Impressive... hm? Well, it seems I need to up the ante." When Gorgon said that, even more trooper FRAMEs appeared all around him, including FRAMEs with large launchers on their back. Suddenly a warning sounded, indicating missile lock, with them streaking towards Kelley from the back while a firing line opened up to the front, allowing The sergeant to fire a slug, the projectile streaking towards him while two Bladesmen lunged to grab his arms and hold it in place. [20 Bladesmen, 20 Rifleman, 5 missile FRAMEs, and Titan Killer. Destroy up to 7 enemies, take a light wound and end in a tight spot You can dodge all of the missiles.]
OOC: I'm guessing I can't take out Titan Killer as part of the seven, so here. Two the FRAMEs grabbed a hold of both of Void Riptide's arms, but that proved to be their undoing rather than Kelley's. Instantly the chain cutter activated, sliding along the entirety of the FRAME's body. The bladesman's hands couldn't let go fast enough before they were ripped apart. Kelley grabbed both of the FRAMEs' heads and smashed them together in front of the Riptide, just as the missile hit the two bladesmen. Blocking shots with a FRAME shield was one thing, a missile was entirely another. Void Riptide was thrown into the air, before somersaulting and regaining an upright position hovering above the battlefield. Alarms rang out as a damage report flashed to the side of Kelley's heads up display. Veronica's voice in his ears telling him what the pain in his left shoulder already said. "Cut along the left shoulder armor during impact. Structural integrity not compromised." He looked at the left shoulder and sure enough, the visual sensors told him that there was indeed a large cut from the explosion from before. Kelley cracked his neck. It was time to get serious. He shifted to the sides, then charged into the enemy missile FRAMEs. Two were cut apart immediately with a flash of the Riptide's physical and laser swords. Another was about to fire a missile when Void Riptide punched its launcher, sending the projectile into another group of riflemen, killing another two. With an uppercut the Riptide severed the FRAME he had just assaulted from naval to to the top of the head. Once it fell apart, Kelley could see several riflemen surrounded him from the front with their weapons at ready, while in the back bladesmen pointed their weapons at the Riptide's back. Veronica's voice came through, "this might be a tricky situation sir." Kelley still had his smile from before.
Kyras jumped into his pod, eager to get his dakka on. At long last, he would get to something in SPESS! Sure, it was a simulation and sure it had really only been about 30min since he arrived, but it was close enough for him and his lack of patience. The screen quickly loaded up and Kyras quickly assessed the situation. There was a boss looking guy and a bunch of minions surrounding what his HUD told him was an ally. "Hmm.... attack the boss or help the other guy, what do you think Seryu?" "We should CRUSH THE EVILDOERS and help a fellow ally of justice of course!" replied the ever predictable SOUL. "Of course" he chuckled, why did he even ask when the answer was as clear as day? He quickly revved up his shoulder mounted canons, firing a pair of shots at the riflemen surrounding what he assumed was his teammate. The two shots connected with their torsos and blew right through, sending the two FRAMEs into a sparking pile. As the riflemen turned to face the new threat, Kyras had his frame fire off another pair of shots, this time shooting past his ally and hitting two of the bladesmen, bringing his bloody tally to four. As Seryu cheered about Justice triumphing over evil in his ear, the rider fell his grin turn feral. "Common ya scrubs" he roared over the intercoms "Do you even DAKKA?!" They did not seem terribly amused by this.
