As the comms shut off, Kelley finished off the last of his tests, recalibrations and estimated comparisons. He stepped down from his rider's position and headed for the door. Veronica appeared and quickly followed him, huffing as if conflicted to say something. As the doors to the exterior opened she opened her mouth, "Mr. Kelley? Sir? Is there anything else I may help you with?" A dull flush appeared on her holographic face. Kelley paused for a moment, then said, "Meet me at the training facilities. I am heading there now." Veronica smiled then saluted before disappearing. "Aye sir!" With that Kelley walked out of the Riptide back on the lift, and had it descend as the doors closed behind him. Pulling out his digi-pad once more, he studied the layout of the carrier and found the training area. He walked on and tapped on the digi-pad, continuing his study that had been interrupted as the shuttle landed in the carrier.
A strong poke hit Kyras in the head. It was a SCARAB poke, as he well knew. The damn things were always making him wake up and do things. As he stirred awake, one of his SCARABs gestured both it's manipulator limbs around the shuttle. The empty shuttle. "They left, they actually left me behind. That is VERY un-friendship flavored." Regardless on that, he mused, that meant he had probably finally arrived at wherever it was he was going! If he was honest, he hadn't really been paying attention as he was to busy thinking of all the new people he was going to befriend, wether they liked it or not. With thoughts of friendship in his mind, he skipped out of the shuttle door humming a joyful tune. Kyras then realized he was down a friend. "Le gasp! Seryu! Seryu, where for art tho Seryu?" And thus he started his favorite mini game aboard any form of Starcraft, being lost quest. He ran off, looking for his FRAME and friend, completely ignoring all the people who probably knew where it was and the fact the floating insectiod drone at his side had a map.
< @WanderingJester @Xanxas Because why not> As Kyras ran through the ship, he got quite a few odd looks, but no-one bothered to stop him. That is, until Kyras ran head-first into a very proper-looking military man. Loran was knocked onto the floor by a very preoccupied Anthromorph, his data-slate falling on the floor as well. [OOC: Yay for player interaction!]
Umph, Kelley looked up at the Anthromorph. He shook his head, and they wonder why they have such a bad reputation. This one sorely lacks discipline. He picked up his digi-pad, and took a moment to brush off any dust on his combat suit and looked at the Anthromorph more carefully. He wasn't dressed in a mechanic's uniform or any of the staff. Since civilians weren't allow on board he must be a rider, Kelley said, "You should watch where you're running to." Before the other had time to respond Kelley was already walking again towards the training area, focused on the vids and intel from his digi-pad, which also held a mini screen with Veronica sending him the latest information on the rebels as well as news from the UTC space, civilian and military.
"Ayyyyyyyyyyyyy~ person man" the oh so wonderful yelling of Kyras Echoed after the person who had oh so rudely chastised him for not paying attention. I mean seriously, who does stuff like that? paying attention he meant. Waaaaaaaaaay to much effort. "Anyways, do ya know where the FRAMEs are kept? I must secure mine for friendship and GREAT JUSTICE!" He jogged after the militaryish person, hoping for an answer. Surely this Ally of Justice would help him out?
Kelley didn't look at Kyras as he read the politics section of the latest Terra Journal, though he did reply to the Anthromorph. "It's back on the other side of the carrier," he waved a hand back from the direction he had came from. "Veronica show him." Instantly a tiny blond appeared sitting on his shoulder, sitting with her legs crossed. Unlike when she's talking to Kelley, she was more casual when addressing the new comer. Smiling she looked at Kyras, and said, "Hi! I'm Veronica, Mr. Kelley's SOUL. The FRAMEs are at the holding compartments by the maintenance bay. Go that way," she point from where Kelley had just came from. "And take the first lift up three floors, then at the first intersection make a right and the entrance to that area will be on that hallway. Don't worry there's helpful signs at every intersection and at the lift itself!" With that Kelley didn't say a word, but read the latest casualty listings from the front as he continued to make his way down to the training area.
Enyo went to the hangar to find the Researchers at work and possible find his newly assigned FRAME. He was nervous about it. Him being in the service as infantry for so many years and now changed to flying, it was alot to take in, but maybe thats why he was chosen.
"Thanks computer person!" Kyras shouted over his shoulder as his destination was at last revealed to him. Several signs, one near mishap with an airlock and three borrowed hats later, he at last arrived at his destination. A rather impatient looking bug robot thing was waiting for him, though how it managed to look impatient without many facial features was a mystery in itself. "Fredrick, you beat me you sly SCARAB you! How did you get here so quickly?" The SCARAB chirped and tried to bring up the map, but by then the purple white walking catastrophe had already breezed past him and was headed for his FRAME. He knocked on its leg in an attempt to grab the attention of its SOUL. Seryu quickly materialized a hologram next to him, and saluted "Hero of justice reporting sir!" A wide grin broke out across the anthro's face, and he gestured to the SCARAB besides him. "Seryu, Fredrick here will be my personal SCARAB while I'm here, so why don you link to him and come along with me!" The armored justice bringer frowned, and asked "wait I thought the one near the top of the pile in PRAETORIAN was Fredrick?" The rider just chuckled. "Silly SOUL, they are all Fredrick" Seryu didn't really get it, but she went with it anyways. After transferring over, she inquired about the plan of action, which lead Kyras to realize he hadn't thought any further than getting here. They then both put their heads together in an attempt to figure out what to do, and failed miserably, once more proving that their intelligence was no where near the some of its parts. In fact, it seemed like them thinking together created destructive interference, if anything.
< @Xaphen > As Enyo stood about, he would see an Anthromorph approaching him. He looked strikingly similar to The one talking to Freya, albeit smaller. He wore a Rider's jumpsuit stained with oil and mechanics goggles were on top of his head. "Heya! Is this your FRAME? It's a beut! Honestly, If I could get in there, I wonder what I would fine. It looks so advanced, too... Where'd ya get it? What's it's name?" As the young man rambled on, a glowing green image of a proper military man appeared next to him. "Dunni, you forgot to introduce yourself again. I apologize. My name is Seven, and this is Dunni Hushion. He is a rider as well." "And a mechanic!" the perky boy chimed in, causing the soul to sigh "And a mechanic. Anyway, who might you be?" < @WanderingJester > Soon enough Loran reached the Training Rooms, and inside were state-of-the-art virtual pods, all linked to a central system, as it seemed from the setup. "Excuse me, Mr. Kelley?" A tech walked up to him. "Sergeant Keith asked me to relay a message to you. He has asked you to speak to him. If you would step into Station number three, your FRAME program has been uploaded, and is ready to launch." < @Xanxas > Kyras and Seryu's actions caused a nearby young woman to chuckle as she stepped forward. "Hello." she smiled, her auburn shoulder-length hair flowing down behind her. "My name is Yalei Miribo, Rider of Iron Wall. Forgive me for intruding, but I was just wondering... Is this your FRAME? It's very interesting."
Kelley nodded, then walked up to the Station number three. On the way he wonders if he would find Keith in the station itself or if he'll need to find the Sergeant afterwards. He decided if it would be the latter case he would do so after a round to work off the traveling rust. Veronica at this point had disappeared from his shoulder and went back to the screen on his digi-pad. When he finally arrived at the simulated rider's cabin, he put the digi-pad away, and stepped into the rider's position in Station Number Three.
