"Big bad merc, you want to space me huh? Once everything is said and done here I'll be free and you'll still be a slave!" He pulled out another cigarro and took a long slow drag, exhaling it into the mercs face. "I'll go as soon as you point me in the direction he went missing." He stopped and thought for a minute before turning to the little one that had spoken to him, "You seem more friendly I'd rather deal with you!" He point a finger with the hand holding the cigarro, "You seem like reasonable folk, how's about I help you and you get me outta here? Sound like a deal?" He was now completely ignoring Kradd, he hated all Dramel's dogs but Kradd was top on that list!
Tunnels @kanila | Na'tala rolled her eyes at Blec Ruc's bluster, glancing over at the Dug. The natives of Malastare tended to be argumentative and this one seemed to live up to the reputation. Straightening the Twi'lek kept a neutral expression on her face. "We could take you on as part of our crew. Kradd describes you as a deckhand but what are you really?"
Tunnels @Avenging-Angel Dakar shot daggers at Kradd before turning to address the Twi'lek, "Actually I am a captain of a ship, or I was until it was thoroughly wrecked! Ya see people need stuff, and I provide it. Usually stuff that is less than legal. But everyone has their price for 'hard to find' items." He took another drag from his cigarro, "Looks like your crew can appreciate that." He leaned back against the wall crossing his arms between puffs.
Tunnels @kanila @Avenging-Angel @Vulpas @UnluckyFellow Blec Ruc Blec returned the Dug's glare with a tired and annoyed expression. Listening to the Dug talk before interjecting himself in the middle of Dakar's words. "He means to say he's a terrible excuse of a captain with an even worse excuse to get away with not doing his job. Incompetence doesn't get you out of working Dakar, especially when wrecking the ship was your own doing and could have been avoided. If anything, Dramel owns you now. At least till you can get him another a ship to replace the one you banged up." Blec wasn't exactly sure how this strike force of Skywalker's operated, but he certainly didn seem happy with them picking up any random pirate they came across to join them. Especially a particular Dug that earned his personal ire. This was supposedly an elite strikeforce from Skywalker himself. Since when did jeopardizing the New Republic's integrity like this become acceptable practice? He gave the Twi'lek a confused expression before shaking his head. Nexnip With as such a sensitive sense of smell that he had, Nexnip was able to tell easily that the Dug's constant smoking made his breath smell foul. Not to mention the smoke around them making it harder to breathe overall. His fur changing to a slight sick green upon having such a scent meet his nose, coughing a bit to try to prevent any of the smoke from reaching his lungs. His breathing excersises to calm himself down promoted the use of slow and deep breaths. Something he was now afraid of doing as of the moment or else he might start choking. The Dug's casual mention in dealing with illegal goods illicited a raised eyebrow out of the Kushiban from underneath his hood. The smuggler might not have realized they were working for the Republic, but to absentmindedly mention something like that to a bunch of strangers that very well could be working for the Republic seemed foolish to Nex. Maybe it was all the bounty hunting experience with Zuri kicking in, but the former bounty hunter couldn't help but think about how sloppy this Dug was acting. This man was either desperate or dumb, perhaps both if his mentioning of having wrecking his own ship was any indicator. He looked over to Nat briefly before looking toward the Dug. "Right, we're exactly the type to enjoy such services" Nex stated, trying his hardest not to sound sarcastic in the process. Nex wasn't sure what type of illegal goods this man dealt with, but things were illegal for reasons, a grand majority of which being well thought out reasons. That was enough to consider such a statement a confession and bring him in to the hunter's guild for the bounty he most likely had by now. But his bounty hunting days were behind him, and he merely listened to the conversation play out instead of letting the Dug suspect anything of him.
Tunnels "Listen here Kradd, Dramel doesn't own me! I don't owe him a ship! Not sure where you get your information from but they are clearly miss informed! I've only done work while I'm stuck here so I can try to get that tub of bolts fixed!" Dakar snuffed the cigarro out on the wall seeing how it was doing nothing to calm him down at this point. "You realize how many shipments I've already missed out on being here? That stupid Trandoshan is costing me be big time! You don't keep tabs on these sorta things in your merc circles but I bet if you woulda heard you woulda jumped on it!" He started pacing still fumming mad. "Those Rebels don't pay good but they pay on time. A cool 5k credits just to slip through some Imperial lines with blasters and meds! And some other joker got the job!" Dakar didn't even catch the sarcasm from the kubishan or the fact he had turned a sickly green. He was still huffing and puffing about lost work.
Tunnels @UnluckyFellow @kanila @Avenging-Angel @Vulpas Blec Ruc After being here for three years, it was entirely possible that the agent lost tabs on who did what, and who owed someone whatever. Though the expression on his face didn't change after being corrected, since it seemed it really didn't really bother him much. Either from lack of caring about individual details, or just him being legitimately angry at the moment, Blec just groaned outloud to himself as if his stomach started to acted up on him and looked toward the crew. "Look Dakar, I don't even care what you do at the moment." he plainly stated with a loud sigh, "And I honestly don't care you missed an opportunity to screw up another job. Right now, all I need to do is lead this group to where they need to go, and then I can go back to pretending you don't exist and drown my sorrows in booze and slave girls. And you can go back to pretending you own a flying piece of broken junk and try to convince yourself that you have more use then just being able to push crates." He looked down at his empty hand. That last bit of Pink Nebula would have worked wonders for him by this time. If anything it would have been something to distract him from this infuriating event. Nexnip This Dug sure loved to complain a lot it seemed. Nex hasn't had a lot of personal run-ins with them before but everything Zuri mentioned about her experiences with them seemed to be true. Mostly about them not being the kindest of people, and being unnecessarily argumentative. He just wished she would have mentioned something about them being chain smokers with little regard for anyone else's ability to breathe. The Dug snuffing the ciggaro out didn't seem to help with clearing the air of the foul stench that now pervaded the area. The odor making it difficult for him to think of anything but the smell and how hard his nose would yell at him if it could speak. Nex may not have known how facilities like this worked at technological level, but even he did not find it to be a good idea to smoke in a place with an artificial atmosphere. "As much as I love the idea of sticking around here and trying not to choke on fumes, we have some important business to do." he looked over to Cyrus to hopefully haven he Jedi back him up with this. He looked at Nat -who already offered the Dug a place on the crew- with a concerned look before looking back toward the Dug, "We can-" he stopped himself and glanced toward Nat briefly again before continuing, "err...pick you up after we're done. The job wouldn't be anything of interest to you anyway. It's probably going to be a lot of looking at some old ruins, and a lot of deciphering of some ancient texts or something. Nothing too intriguing."
Temple Doorway @TechCaptain A voice spoke from the darkness, "Poking around won't open the way into the Temple." Laughter filled the chamber, it came from everywhere and no where all at once. "If you truly seek entrance you must prove yourself worthy!" Tunnel "Oh you don't like the smoke little one? And why should I trust that you will keep your word? I think I'll tag along just incase." Dakar turned to Kradd once more, "You shouldn't speak of things you have no clue about! Everyone has something to hide, and it's only a matter of time before someone finds yours! Then you'll regret those bridges you've burnt!" Dakar decided it was best to stay away from Kradd and moved to the other side of the group.
Tunnels @GobMaw_HellSmasha | Noticing Nex glancing at her as he spoke to the Dug, presumably concerned with her own words, Na'tala moved to stand next to the Kushiban and his ride, lowering her voice so that only he and Cyrus could hear her. "Now isn't the time to go all bounty hunter on us. Think about it: Commander Skywalker picked what? A spy, a couple of bounty hunters, a couple of other mercenaries and then Cyrus. Hardly the most moralistic bunch. Another smuggler might be useful."
Nexnip "I come from a planet where we keep fires burning at all times to ward off our natural predators. It's not the smoke itself that bothers me it's the-" Nexnip stopped himself part way, nearly gagging on the stench he caught a whiff of, "it's the smell of it!" He now clenched his nose, trying to ward off the odor in the air. He could smell that Dug's breath stunk of the ciggaro's stench. "I don't blame you for not knowing this, but Kushiban make awful liars. If I was lying to you, you'd be able to tell right away. Trust me." Nex wasn't sure what to think of the Dug. This reminded him a lot of how they met Rondo Kass. But while Kass ended up being a pleasant fellow and a true companion, the Dug displayed less of these characteristics then he did intially. Nex even found himself looking over to the Arkanian offshoot himself, eyes pleading for some sort of advice for this situation. "Besides, it could potentially be dangerous, knowing our luck" he said looking over to his Jedi Master, "I wouldn't be surprised if this ended in a firefight to be honest." @Avenging-Angel Upon having Nat whisper to him he looked over at her in stark surprise. "You 'hired' Rondo Kass yourself Nat" he whispered exasperatedly to Nat, "though I now have to thank you for doing so, I have to still question your choice in...potential recruits." The little lapine glanced over to the Dug briefly before continuing with their hushed conversation. "Nat, I trust you, but I don't trust him to just be above board all of this. We're dealing with very important stuff for not just the Jedi but the Republic itself. I don't see how this Dug is going to be in it for anything but his own interests." He waited for a bit and looked back over to the Twi'lek beside him, "besides I think we're good people, regardless of our previous backgrounds prior. I was able to see the good in you guys...that's probably what master Skywalker saw in all of us too." "Besides, what's wrong with Cyrus? I think he's a good guy."
Tunnel "You're worried about me in a firefight?!" He drew his twin heavy blaster pistols, "You obviously don't know what we Dugs are capable of!" He placed them back in their holsters sure he got his point across. What was the little guys issue anyways? Who turns down help? "So what kinda job is this, can't be purely scientific if they sent you lot to do it."
