The plan is for Guild space ship "Cruisers", and these "Cruisers" will be able to invade other Guild "Cruisers" in boarding action fights. There may be aircraft implemented into the game in the distant future, but there hasn't been much talk about that, as you need an Open World Continent for that to really work properly, which will most likely not happen for another 2+ years.
Anybody know, if they plan that you can invade cruiser of same faction like ours? For example LSM guild invade other LSM guild.
Highly doubt it. Though, this feature, once added, paves the way for a small bit of PVE as well adding space hulks or some kind of action that let's you fight nids or other stuff in space. Should be fun PVP and PVE.
Phelan has the makings of a good idea. The developers announce an event in which a tyranid bio-ship approaches the planet. Everyone rushes to their guild ships to attack the tyranids before a countdown and territory control system expires. Any mycetic spores that survive the space battle then land on the ground map in random locations.
If there's enough demand for it I'm sure there would be a good chance that the devs would implement this function into the game.
Erm, I see no reason an Open World is a pre-requisite for an instanced Ship to Ship boarding action. Such a thing would merely be yet another instance, true there would be some changes necessary, but ultimately it's just another map like the "battle islands" that will serve as overflow servers.
Sorry for not making it more clear, but I was referring to a separate issue from the Guild Cruisers. Where I feel that there is a chance for us to be able to use Aircraft in the Continent Battles sometime in the future.
Well, if there are vehicles like Rhinos and Predators, it won't be hard to implement fliers as "just another vehicle". Though that will cause a LOT of various issues with the terrain, hills, building roof-access, and so on. The issue with altitude is that it grants an entire new vantage-point for units, and they need to be killed IN SOME WAY, or the hills/rooftops would be abused six ways to sunday, which would break the game... So, practically easy to slap in a couple fliers, and balance them with other vehicles/weapons I'm sure... ...but both theoretically and practically HELL to keep the game balanced with the added altitude-element...
