<Sho'nohak> Sho'nohak lingered a moment behind the rest to offer his prayers for their fallen comrade Soreth, taking some of the ashes to smear across his helmet so that in some part his brother might yet see what became of their vessel and perhaps provide support in spirit. Rising he moves to take point and guide them toward the Reactor so that they might get power up and running. "Suggest we check the cogitators first, don't want to turn on the automated systems and have them firing at us. If they're intact though they should be able to target and single out anything hiding from us, tell us if anything else lurks on our own ship or not. "
The Chaplain composed himself as the squad made ready to leave, trudging back among the vaporized ruins of the shrine and where their brother had been. He took a deep breath of recycled air through his helmet's filters, searching for some shard or fragment of the Battle Brother that had been. "I will bring something back to Nocturne of you, as is only right. You will be returned to the fires which gave birth to us all, Brother."
Cartus began checking his equipment once again as he followed silently behind the others. He was sure all was fine with it, but it never hurt to check the functionality of that which everyone's life may yet depend on.
Moving as a unit, the Salamanders made their way to the plasma engine room. The doors were sealed, as expected, but Brother Sytella made quick work of that. As the doors lumbered open, pulled apart by a couple of the marines, their helmet's displays began to scream warnings: the room was filled with radiation. Of course, that's not a problem for the marines, but it was a concern that the radiation was leaking from somewhere. Moving to the engine itself, it appeared that its circuitry was fried entirely, with large chunks of its vital components pulled out of place, bent, or simply destroyed. It appeared that somewhere between their journey in to the warp and their crashing in to the hulk, the engines had been exposed to a massive impact or magnetic force. [OOC: I've never seen fluff that says the 40k vessels have reactors, and the Rogue Trader PnP specifically shows that the plasma drives power the whole vessel--so I went with that. Also, forge? What forge? ]
Brother Rahim - Looking at the mangled wires and circuits he knew it was beyond their means to repair. "Brothers without a tech marine or an engineer I doubt we can fix this. I think we will have to continue our search else where. Should we attempt to seal the leak?" He examined the rooms hoping that it would tell what happened to the reactor. He hoped to Vulkan that it was mearly from the crash and not caused by human hands.... or xeno. OOC: we hoped there would be a forge fr repairs of equipment and weapons
OOC: Armory could have workbench... But forges would be truly only on forge ships. "Sealing the leak would at least prevent further catastrophes." Zhu Li'ang replied as he started looking around, similar to Rahim having doubt that it was more than just an 'accident' and desiring to make sure what has happened.
"Chaplain, do you think you could find the leak with your auspex? Before we can seal it we have to find it." Scytella moved from one foot to the other, if something had messed with the engines, then it was probably a human or demon. The question remained: if it wasn't one of those two, what was it?
Tsen'Tal already had the auspex in his hand, searching for a plasma leak. "Of course brother, the sooner we secure the ship the better."
