So we are super wonderful happy time now...

  1. Interesting. I can usually 2-shot gits with it. You run, ahem, Penetration on da "spikey dildo"?
I say it's unreliable and slow. Too many different things can screw up your frontal charge, and the time wasted is usually just too much - you don't have Choppa's momentum to keep up if you fail. And it's frontal charge, man. Da git can just throw a grenade in front of you and watch you blow up in the middle of your lunge. Or roll backwards and shoot you in the face some for free. Or use Jumpack magic. Or just go around a corner. Or climb a crate. And don't forget, there are usually lots of gitz around, and everyone wants a piece of you, and you're just standing there, charging; as for backstabs, even Impact-Penetration Choppa allows you to krump almost any git with an easy to use heavy-fast combo.
Axe... I think it's arguably the best duel weapon there is, but there aren't that many melee duels where it can shine - I mean, I had, like, 5 or 6 long uninterrupted melee 1v1 fights last week, and I played quite a lot.
For just krumping everything as fast as you can, or fighting against groups, Choppa is better, because you have more mobility and more room for error. For protecting your gits against melee, Clubba is better, because it breaks shit faster - either because it's itself faster, like I feel, or because it has higher impact and make things go "crack" faster (which may be the reason I feel it's faster? I don't know, it just feels that way, honestly). Axe is just... there, as I said. I don't feel like it excels at anything particularly useful, at least at the moment.
Also, I think you won't argue that, just like Clubba, Axe is not the easiest or new player friendly weapon to use.

    with Penetration spikey dildo!
Well, if you just ditch the Klaw and use something, anything but it, you can beat sword people.
You can stop your suffering right now, you know.
And it's easy: all you have to do is betray the Klaw. What good did it do to you, anyway? Why are you so loyal? Abandon it. Come over to the Choppa side. We can WAAAGH the galaxy together - like dakka and more dakka, because there is never enough dakka.
    Dakka.

Thats a nice opinion you have there, one most people who've played seem to disagree with. I've been testing since Alpha, the game is far from fine in its current state. "Disappointing" or "Sad" would be more appropriate for a $50 halfway between alpha and beta quality with no clear path of development and no indication of future quality. Frankly charging premium prices for this is insulting. The only way EC could ever be called "Fine" right now is if they cut the price down to the $10-$20 range and did some overhauling of broken gameplay mechanics such as THE ENTIRE MELEE SYSTEM, the potato servers that cant handle the broken melee system and thus causing melee fighters to teleport with alarming frequency, and all the one-shot kill weapons so new players who choose to ignore the increasing number of bad reviews and give the game a try aren't put off after a single game of getting dominated by melee or dropping dead from sudden lag spikes and plasma cannons.

You say that like the devs will actually pull through and deliver something when they said they would. Their track record thus far would suggest this will not be the case, but I almost admire people who can hold faith in something in spite of reality.

Why? They've done nothing to deserve any more faith than our initial investments, in fact I would say quite the opposite has happened. We were supposed to have faith back when they were offering refunds for founders because all the "massive" gameplay elements would be post launch additions. Now here we are, one month after that "flipping a switch" as our development lead so erroneously described it, and its looking more and more like anything invested in Eternal Crusade has been wasted. There hasn't been any significant improvements to the game, its already gotten more than enough bad press to dig its own grave, and with so many more anticipated releases in the near future (Praying to The Emperor and all the loyal Primarchs that Deathwing turns out anywhere near as good as it looks), There doesn't look like much realistic hope for EC to make some kind of miraculous comeback.

    TLDR;
We need ACTUAL RESULTS, not "just trust us guys lol"

No, no, no, no, no. You aren't turning this thread into a white knights vs negative nancies battleground.

The game is where it is and that's the end of it.

    Enough of this chatter.

This topic is to discuss balance issues with Orks, to have a bit of banter and to worship the Klaw. If you're not doing one or ideally all of those things you don't belong here.

    Update -

I just played 4 matches, won every single one, came top most games. I think previously perhaps I was playing at times when new players must have been on or I was on a bad server or something but the situation isn't as dire as I first thought.

I used to run clubba. Then I took a dildo in the knee.

But seriously, I've tried it in plenty of games and tested it in garrison - and though I can't claim I couldn't 2-shot marines just because they had max suvivability which would also happen with axe - the damage seems lower enough than axe to require 1 additional hit to kill average tacticals/assaults. Backstabbing hormagaunt with penetration axe does 315 dmg, dildo does 290-sth I think. Followup fast axe attack does 100 n' sth, dildo 90ish. The sum of axe attack is enough to down high armor tacticals, my guess is that the dildo doesn't. Sorry for throwing around numbers I can't guarantee are accurate, but for now lets say I "tested them thoroughly". Especially the... potent penetration spikey dildo.

BOUT ZOGGIN TIME YU CALMED DOWN AN GOT BACK TO FOITIN PROPPA!

I think our biggest issue that causes us to lose games (outside of team play) is our subpar supports.

Painboy is simply a worse apothecary in almost every way.

Your main weapon is an apothecary's side weapon (effectively a knife), we don't have any of the options in fightin' juice they have outside of a longer HoT which isn't worth the points, our dokbomb is huge and easy to destroy compared to their tiny heal beacon that requires you to stop and shoot to deal with, and WAAAAGH! completely negates half of painboy's usefulness.

Our dok's need some serious love boys! I suggest we get a proppa choppa on dat boy pronto!

    Meat cleavers for all!

  9. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Do not be so negative. Saturday I had a session where I won every single match I played without any particular coordination.

The game is not well balanced but it's not even that bad. Still the biggest pronlem is not balancing factions but classes and weapons. Some factions in particular seem to abuse the strongest weapons they have: it's all about JPA melee with lifesteal mods, plasma or autocannon.
I answer sticking to my squad leader, spamming poison, using modded death shiny Shoota and those times I go melee I pick up the zip gun and high impact weapons like maces or choppas: nothing better to explain rmb spammers where they can stick their power swords.
