It's not like you really need them any way. Orks make up for it with shear volume of fire until the air is literally filled with high caliber rounds. Quantity has a quality all of its own. (Which in real warfare is actually fairly sensible, IIRC the largest infantry wielded casualty producers are LMG's and grenades, either launched or thrown.) Also, instead of SM's getting Scout Snipers, I'd at least like to hope that either/both Space Marines and Chaos can get Recon squads.
Well, I think that we are agreed then! It actually makes me feel good about this forum that we were able to talk through that. Also, I suppose I brought a little bit too much of my own job into that first post, which isn't very becoming. I will definitely be sticking around as well. I'm interested to see where this goes. I appreciate the enthusiasm of BE greatly. I hope that will translate well as they start taking the game outside the 40K and the Founder community. For all the reasons you listed, it will be an uphill battle, but I like to think they can pull it off.
Regardless of game mechanics, I really, really think something should be done about the chestplate of the image shown. It looks completely un-Eldar. Quite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-like, in fact. It is certainly good news to hear they will be a class further on.
Considering they're disciples of Cegorach and they seem pretty comical people I've always thought of it as a not that bad thing. Plus Harlequins are a bit.....odd so they might consider it a good thing. Besides it could be like Exarch armour where they lend their power to the overall body but remain self aware and independent.
