I find it rather disturbing that there isn't more panic about it. As of now we just have a terrain, with changing color patches. There is: - No actual Campaign system - No information regarding the names or tactical value of each territory - No choice mechanisms or indications of how the matches you play affect the outcome - No advantages/disadvantages to gaining/losing territory - Absolutely no storyline whatsoever Now, granted I could keep playing what is currently essentially an Arena shooter for a few months (at most) with more shinies and advancements. But seriously? This game plans to keep players for over a year? Terminators, Hero Classes, New shiny gear will only keep people for so long. These are the post launch features! Lets be honest, this isn't Overwatch - backed by a massive company that has an almost unlimited budget. There is no fan investment in the 'solid game play mechanics' of this game because they are pretty much non-existent! No well tuned maps, no well balanced gameplay. I honestly don't see much of a future for this game past the first 3 months of Launch. Unless they massively overhaul the campaign system and inject new modes/maps as priority #1, things are not going to end well. /rant
Are you out of date or smth? All stuff you pointed out was told to be pushed back post-launch approximately a month ago, and it exploded the forum. Now everyone is chill about it because current map is exactly what was promised.
The map will do for the time being. The time being only. I dont know alot about MMOs but isnt this map just a fancy way of showing which faction fairs against which?
It's because we were all expecting it. Not a whole lot left to say, we want more than this, the devs say more will come, and I'm pretty sure most* of us at least hope that will be the case. *Though I'm pretty sure there's a few extra pessimistic people who want all the stretch goals to fail just so they can say I told you so.
Im pretty sure we would prefer to be proven wrong.Btw the stretch goals(which were funded by the "founders program") were stuff that were supposed to be at launch not post launch.
