Update on SW. Jeez, I especially counted this time: was shooting at a SM assault class, he was already wounded, not too much but nevertheless, I hit him 40 (40, Carl!!!) times, mainly in legs, groin and abdomen - and he survived!!!! Approximately it requires 20 (!) shots at a head/upper half of a torso to kill a light-armoured SM - at the same time I counted about 10-15 hits at my legs and abdomen (!) from a standart bolter (!!) that made me dead.
Duh...he obviously had the jock strap wargear equipped that gives a rosarius effect to his privates and lower half
Atleast Brent said that if the fire rate increase and what not didn't help they would look into a flat damage increase. Hopefully thats the case as well as some higher armor pen because the obscene amount of toughness marines are running now.
That's not a bad idea actually, high base penetration value for all Shuriken weapons. Would be a nod to the Eldar TT auto-wound chance. I'd still prefer a baseline damage increase.
Last patch (unfortunatly I'm outdated), I was required to unload 20 shots (with 10 Rounds per sec RoF) at point blanck with an Avenger Shuriken Catapult, all in the head of a regular LSM to kill him. It was quite easy to tell since I was standing in his back, aiming calmly the head to make sure all the shots connected. 20 ASC Headshots = optimal damage output: 2sec. Usual time for a LSM bolter to kill an eldar: 1.5 sec... ... Legit. (Again: this was patch 19)
Maybe thats the problem. Maybe you guys got the invader zim treatment from your leaders. Would explain why wave serpents go crazy sometimes. There are just crazy Sir units!
After today's patch it seems to me that Eldar (all Eldar classes!) have become more than a cannon fodder at last! And shuriken weapons finally do some damage - I can even kill a light-armoured SM in 1 vs 1! Wohoo!!! It's a celebration day for all of Eldar
